About this property

*** YAPERA On LUCAN ** 1890's cottage Central Bendigo

Welcome to YAPERA ON LUCAN.
1890's Victorian Cottage
Close to the Tennis Centre/Lake Weeroona/Tom Flood cycling centre/CBD/QEO/Pool/O'Keefe Rail Trail/Tourist Tram/Ulumbarra Theatre/Capital Theatre/Art Gallery/Chinese Gardens and Rosalind Park/Bendigo Hospital
This 1890's Victorian residence has 3 bedrooms. 2 with Queen beds and 1 with 2 singles.
It has had a recent update with newly polished floorboards. The house features ducted heating and cooling and gas fireplace. Old fireplaces in chimneys(Except for the lounge gas fireplace these are decorative only) give a Victorian but modern feel to the house.
The lounge area has a new furniture including a modern couch and new TV.
The Bathroom is very light and airy with a new bath. There is a double sink vanity and shower and toilet.
The kitchen area is large and user friendly with gas stove and new microwave and fridge.
The back verandah area with table tennis table and table and chairs, is a great undercover space with room for bike storage or similar. Very close to the start of O'Keefe Rail Trail.
The backyard has a covered entertainment area with garden, table and chairs.

Parking is on street at the front of the property. Access is available at the rear of the property from Harney Street if off street parking is required. There is room to park a trailer if required. Contact owner if req for larger trailer than 6 x 4.

The Tysons Reef Cafe is across the road with great breakfasts and coffee.

Several Hotels are within easy walking distance with the Tysons Reef across the road, the Rising Sun and Bridge Hotels only a short distance away. The Boardwalk at Lake Weeroona is open for Breakfast and Lunch.

YAPERA ON LUCAN is new to the short stay accomodation market but we believe you will enjoy the quality decor.

We would also appreciate any feedback so that our guests will return again and again.

Lovely
We had a lovely couple of days in Bendigo. The house was spotlessly clean, lovely fresh linen and close to town centre. Thank you for a great stay Murray!

Spacious light and airy
Spacious light and airy were the first reactions of my friends coming in to this house. We felt very at home with many touches by the host to make it easy to find one’s way around. The position was good for our needs. Quick to get to the lake for a short walk. Not far to walk to the centre, the art gallery or the Ulumbarra theatre or Golden dragon Chinese Museum. It was fun to see the Bendigo Easter parade at night and another on Easter Sunday including the longest dragon in the world!

Greta spot to have access to all things to explore without being right in the thick of things.
Clean, fresh and welcoming. Little things were thought of to help us enjoy our stay, relax and unwind.

One of the most beautiful places I've stayed. Really lux house, that had everything we needed. Hosts were great and went out of their way to accommodate us. Loved it

About the host

Host profile image
We are a Bendigo family with connections to the Wangaratta area and the North East. We have put a lot of hard slog into getting this house ready for future holiday makers and travellers. The house is over a 100 years old so expect some creaky floorboards but we believe we have made it into the type of house WE would like to stay in.

Why they chose this property

We live locally and thought this house would make an excellent short stay accomodation residence or longer if you want.

What makes this property unique

This area in Lucan Street is so close to Lake Weeroona, The Bendigo Tennis Centre, Tom Flood cycling centre, QEO for footy, Bendigo Hospital, Ulumbarra Theatre to name just a few.
