About Kevin & Beth Ostic
My husband and I have been married for 40 years. we reside in the Seattle, Washington area and have raised our 3 daughters here. We have always loved the Gold Canyon area, Arizona golf, MLB spring training, and sunshine! Now that we have a beautiful home in Arizona it's hard to decide where to stay! Our daughters are all on their own now so we are entering a brand new, exciting stage of life.
Kevin & Beth Ostic purchased this House in 2013
Why Kevin & Beth Ostic chose Gold Canyon
This property has it all. Privacy, beautiful views, hiking trails, walking trails, world class golf minutes away, private back yard with heated pool, recently remodeled with modern finishes, and comfy beds! It is the wild west revisited complete with doves on top of the saguaros, lizards on the fence, and coyotes howling at night!
What makes this House unique
We absolutely loved the views and desert feel of this house. It is perfect for us and we are sure you will enjoy it too.

Great place to stay nice location.
We enjoyed using the pool. The back yard was a nice place to just sit and relax and enjoy the view. The birds were on the cactus or the back wall fun to watch. The grill was nice to have to cook out back. We never seemed to have time to use the fire pit but we camp a lot in the summer and use a fire pit a lot then. The kitchen was great with everything you could possibly need to cook with. Nice to have a garage to come and go with the push of a button. There was even their card for discount at the grocery store. We had a great relaxing time and no snow to shovel. Anyone that has a chance to stay here they should do it very nice.

Sweet Desert Retreat
Although we didn’t use the pool due to Tornado warnings and rain storms, we enjoyed our stay at Gold Canyon. The beautiful trails out into the Sonoran Desert are just minutes away. The greens at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort we’re perfect! Morning coffee and then Wine in the evening on the patio was especially pleasant! We we plan on coming back to Gold Canyon!
I have been renting at VRBO properties for quite a few years in a number of states. This property by far was the best one we have encountered in our travels. The house and property was well cared for, fully stocked, and the owners were always ready to help with any questions we had. What more can you ask for on a vacation.
Paul, we greatly appreciated your visit! Thanks so much for venturing out to the store to proactively purchase a replacement tire tube and taking the time to install it on one of the bikes during your vacation. We will make sure we stock some extra tubes in the future. We even offered to send Paul a check for reimbursement but he declined the offer. Paul and his family were excellent guests and would be great assets to any property and we sincerely hope to see them again in the future!
30th wedding anniversary in Gold Canyon
Beautiful! Loved the garden and the scenery from the backyard. We spent lots of time in the pool or pool side. Wonderful, quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and comfortable. Pantry had good supplies. Loved the fact that the checkout was easy without having to do all kinds of cleanup as with some other properties. I have rented lots in Arizona and would return to this place again. Thanks Beth and Kevin!
What a great place...... we enjoyed every second of our trip. The backyard is so enjoyable. Pool is perfect!!!! Beds are comfortable!!! what more can you ask for... I hope to come back soon and would definitely try to stay here again!!!!
Michelle was an exceptional guest and we really enjoyed her stay with us!
We have stayed at the Ostic home in Gold Canyon AZ for the past 5 years. It feels like home to us. The Ostic’s are wonderful people to rent from. They are always asking if we need anything or asking for suggestions to make our stay more enjoyable. Every year we tell them it is perfect just like it is. We absolutely love it there and look forward to staying again in 2020. Thank you Kevin and Beth.
We love having Bonnie and Roger every year. They are just like extended family members!
The greater Phoenix area has over 250 golf courses and one of best courses in Arizona runs adjacent to the property. The Gold Canyon Golf Resort clubhouse is one mile away and features 36 holes of championship desert golf. The Sidewinder and Dinosaur Mountain courses are hidden gems. The Best of Zagat rates the Gold Canyon Dinosaur Mountain course as one of the Top 3 Public Courses in Arizona based on: course conditions, service, facilities, and value. Sports Illustrated has ranked Gold Canyon in the Top 5 Public courses in Arizona for the past 12 years! The Dinosaur Mountain course winds across the mountains providing incredible elevation changes from tee to green and spectacular views of the Superstition Mountains to the East. The Sidewinder course navigates through natural arroyos and dry creek beds among the native cholla, prickly pear, mesquite and palo verde trees. Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club, featuring the Prospector and Lost Gold courses, is less than a 5 minute drive, and has hosted multiple major LPGA and Champions Tour Tournaments. The Mountainbrook course is also within 5 minutes. Gold Canyon has a special discount card available for purchase (one free round and up to 50% off selected tee times), or you may consider buying a Southwest PGA card for discounts on up to 50 local courses including Gold Canyon. You can also obtain seasonal discounts online.
The city of Gold Canyon has some excellent restaurants nearby. Within a few miles mile are the Gold Canyon Resort Cantina, and Wahoo's. The Best Western Hotel on Kings Ranch Road is less than 2 miles away with a restaurant/bar that normally remains open late. Rosatti's has great Italian food that is very inexpensive. There is also a Basha's grocery store within 5 minutes and two Chinese food locations along with some local cafes. Basha's has a Starbucks coffee store inside.
Wildlife abounds on the Gold Canyon course and the surrounding neighborhoods. Bobcats, deer, coyotes, rabbits, lizards, doves and quail are often seen on the course or in the wash nearby.
Hiking is easily accessible on all sides of our home. Plenty of maintained walking trails throughout the neighborhood are available.
Gold Canyon living is special because much of the area is still undeveloped and remains native Sonoran desert. The local mountain ranges highlight the beauty and provide a great backdrop for sunset or sunrise photographs. This is true Arizona living with lots of wild birds nesting in a saguaros behind the house.
