The Bat City House is a 1920's restoration of a classic craftsman home, sitting on the hillside just to the west of the heart of downtown Austin.

With a modern and contemporary style, these private guest quarters were added to the lower level during the restoration process. Featuring a fully equipped kitchen, open floor plan kitchen/living/dining room areas with large windows for downtown views, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, washer and dryer, private guest entrance, and french doors that open to a large private backyard for outdoor dining.

Reserved parking is conveniently located at the street in front of property, and we offer private, covered and gated parking upon request (best used if you decide to store your car during your stay). The rental is also equipped with a security system (security code provide upon request).

Located just blocks from everything downtown Austin, but quiet, safe, secure and private.

Five stars is not enough

Giving this place five stars doesn't do it justice. I'd give 10 if I could. I've stayed at this house on two separate occasions and both times it's been extraordinary. It's very well maintained, clean, quiet and yet right in the middle of all Austin has to offer.

I've stayed at Homeaway/Airbnb houses all over the world and this is by far one of the best experiences. I can't imagine a better deal in Austin for the money.

Simply the best!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Bat City House. The owners literally thought of everything, and had many extra touches that made their place feel like our second home. Gorgeous backyard and a fantastic location, walkable to great restaurants, boutiques and the river. We can't wait to come back!

Fabulous! Great location!

Charming. We really enjoyed hanging outside enjoying the backyard privacy! The yard was beautifully manicured and maintained. The house was just as nice. Very comfortable and clean. All of us enjoyed our stay and could not have been happier. Our hosts were very attentive and made our stay memorable.

The Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue bridge in downtown Austin is the spring and summer home to some 750,000 bats with up to 1.5 million bats at the peak of the bat-watching season. Take a walk to Congress Avenue bridge just before sunset, and watch the bats take flight. It's a spectacular sight to see.
