Over the course of 30+ years of renting vacation properties, overall this rates in the top 3 or 4 in our experience. It is very modern, clean and well-maintained. There are lots of hard surfaces and furnishings are limited, but that is clearly by design and contributes to the cleanliness of the property. The deck and back yard are fantastic relaxing places to hang out. The location is perfect and gives you easy access to lots of fun places in Austin while providing a nice quiet neighborhood to retreat to at the end of the day. If you are spending a few days in Austin, you will be hard-pressed to find better lodgings than this.
Short Break from 27-30 December 2019
The property is spotlessly clean, minimalist and very modern. Chuck is an excellent host. He actually went out and bought us some English Breakfast Tea for the Keurig machine because we're English!!! Nothing was too much trouble for him and the location is fantastic, just off 6th Street. We walked almost everywhere and had a fabulous stay in Austin. Highly recommended.
It was a great week in Austin. This place was perfect in terms of location and amenities. So much better than staying in a hotel! The space is immaculate and beautifully furnished. Awesome hosts, too!
The Bat City House was absolutely amazing!
The house was impeccable. So clean, you could eat off the floor.
So quiet and in a gorgeous neighborhood. The beds were super comfortable and the showers were great. We walked to Clarks Oyster Bar Restaurant and the Swedish Hill Bakery. Both excellent restaurants.
Chuck was so friendly and a great communicator. Can't say enough good things about this home. Thank you Chuck and Albert for making our trip to Austin special!
This is a beautiful property very walkable to most downtown venues.
The perfect Austin stay
Hard pressed to add anything that hasn't already been said; this place is amazing. Beautifully clean, tastefully decorated, well stocked and perfectly situated, our party of four could not have been more happy staying here for four nights. Chuck is a most gracious host and accommodated our every want. Highly recommended.
