About the property

Warm, Cozy, Chalet Nestled In The Pines, WiFi, Close To Ski Areas, Attractions

Come and relax in our private, comfortable chalet, conveniently located in Mt. Washington Valley just 12 miles north of North Conway Village. Situated in a pine grove on a quiet wooded road, the chalet offers great mountain ambiance while still being close to ski areas, exceptional hiking trails, attractions (just minutes to Storyland!), and great restaurants, pubs, and shopping.

The 1500sf home has an inviting open layout upstairs with kitchen, dining area, and two living areas (one with a pullout couch). The kitchen has been recently remodeled with new appliances and countertop. Enjoy free WiFi, along with watching your favorite shows on the new 50-inch flat screen “smart TV” with cable access. Additional dining space can be found in the cozy rear sunroom, which also features an attached library area with a wide assortment of books. There are plenty of board games available, as well.

The lower floor features a master bedroom with attached ¾ bathroom, two additional bedrooms, and an additional full bath. The beds are freshly made, and extra pillows and blankets are available. Each bathroom is equipped with fluffy oversized towels, hand soap, and body wash to make you feel right at home. The house has knotty pine walls and ceilings throughout, and is decorated with a mountain rustic theme to add to your White Mountain experience.

In the warmer months relax with your morning coffee or your afternoon wine and cheese on either the spacious front deck or the back deck overlooking the forest – your choice! Enjoy grilling your favorite foods on our new Weber grill, and end your day with s’mores cooked in the outdoor fire pit. In ski season, enjoy the cozy ambience of an indoor fire.

There is plenty of parking under the pines to accommodate your trailer carrying your ATVs, kayaks, skimobiles, or whatever your favorite toys are!

Fantastically relaxing

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I don't get away too often. We try to go to the mountains at least once a year. We both work hard, and long screwy hours, so when we go away, it is to relax, cook, and chill. We used to go to one cabin, year after year, but decided to branch out a while back, and have been going to a different place each year. I guess the best compliment I can give, is that John's chalet will definitely be booked by us again :) . It ticked off all the boxes - large open area with kitchen, dining, and living room, wood burning fireplace, large screen TV (with plenty of streaming options), internet, comfy bed, lots of exposed wood in the interior. Also had a great sunroom to sit in (bonus box ticked!). And while this might be an OCD kinda thing, the fireplace and TV were on the same wall, which was the clincher for chilling with a movie, with the fireplace also in direct view. Sweet :) . Another bonus was the 2 bathrooms, so we could shower and get ready at the same time to head into N. Conway, or into the mountains for a drive. Neighborhood was dead quiet. I think we heard some kids playing one morning, but even though there are houses around, seemed like we had the whole neighborhood to ourselves. Oh, and nice large deck that we hope to enjoy by coming back in the warmer weather, and a grill to use then too. While this review hits on only our preferences, if you are like us, you will enjoy your stay. There are plenty of other reviews of here that hit on everybody else's likes.

Cozy, quiet and well kept

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed staying at your cozy, well kept chalet. We particularly enjoyed the location, the nature themed décor and eating breakfast in the sun room. Our children loved searching for Theodore, Alvin and Simon!

Everything You Need!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home for a long weekend in January. It was really close to skiing and some other winter fun activities we love to do in the area. The house itself had everything we needed - every cooking supply needed, wifi, smart tv, comfy rooms/beds, washer/dryer, fireplace and space. It's got a great open space where our kid and our friend's child (3 and 4) were able to run around and we had little concerns. It's a split level, open concept with one big room, but with somewhat separate areas so the adults could hang out in one area while the little ones ran around or kept to a place space. It's a great spot for little ones - the stairs are very manageable and the home is carpeted throughout which makes crawling (for them or parents) easier. Fireplace is well protected even for little ones. I would love to check it out in the summer as I bet the sunroom is a great place to relax, not to mention beautiful. The owners were great too - they make sure to speak with renters beforehand and are thoughtful in all of their instructions to make the house comfortable during your stay - all of which were easy to follow and completely reasonable. You can tell the owners are thoughtful about every detail in the place. As an added plus, we lost a toy as we were packing up. I mentioned this to John on the off chance he'd fine it and as luck would have it, their housekeeper found the toy and we're getting it back. We'd definitely look to book there again if we have the opportunity. Thanks so much!!

Beautiful location and home, clean, warm and close to activities...

  • 5 of 5

This home was so homey, comfortable and the owners were pleasant also to deal with. Loved this area, the home is located close to Brettonwoods, North Conway, Attitash. We had a rainy 3 day weekend (Columbus Day) and still we we enjoyed a day in North Conway, shopping, riding the train etc. We had breakfast at Priscilla Restaurant each morning, the food was delicious, the owner was pleasant and took a few minutes just to chat with us, she also recommended that we go to Hooligan for dinner, when we arrived was a wait but oh my it was so worth it, the owner and his staff were great to us, the food was so, so good recommend to everyone. This home has 3 bedrooms and the look reminded me of log cabin, Because of rainy evening the day we arrived we decided to cook at this home, we had all we needed to prepare the dinner for us all and of course we enjoy the evening in the comfort of this chalet. Very clean and plenty of towels, beds were comfortable. Thank you to John and Lisa for allowing us to stay in their chalet and we hope to come back again......
