As you enter this rustic luxurious and tranquil cabin, you will enjoy soaring 360 -degree views of surrounding vista that includes Island Park Reservior, vast mountain ranges and a national forest. These views and nature abound in the area. Hangin' Bear features an open floor plan, knotty pine tongue and groove walls, vaulted floor to ceiling windows in the main cabin living area, comfortable furniture and amenities throughout.
The cabin easily sleeps 12 guests. Each of the 4 bedrooms frames a scenic area, which you can view from your log bed. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a whirlpool bath, rocking chair and separate television and sofa sleeper for lounging. The three extra bedrooms host comfortable beds and plenty of luggage space while the loft features two sofa sleepers. Each are conveniently located near two additional bathrooms in the cabin.
While indoors, you can relax and do nothing, share stories around the fireplace, enjoy the views or play a few games. The loft area features a game table and comes with entertainment options such as board games, television, DVD library, XBox and video games and even access to your own Netflix account. The cabin is equipped with WiFi.
The cabin provides multiple options for meals, as you can choose to cook with the electric stove/oven in the kitchen or on an outdoor gas grill. The accommodate larger meal preparation, a new double oven was installed. Moveover, the kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker, Instapot and other cookware and appliances. The pantry, which is well stocked with spices, has plenty of storage space for your food. If eating out is your preference, then there are choices in Island Park and West Yellowstone. The dining room table seats 6 and there is additional bar seating for 6.
There are three expansive decks where you can relax and enjoy your favorite beverages, wildlife viewing or even take time to read a book. From the front deck, you can gaze across the water as you bask in the amazing sunrises. Awe inspiring sunsets can be appreciated form the rear deck, fire-pit area and picnic tables and even the loft.
The cabin is accessible year round. From here, you can choose between activities such as hiking, fishing, ATV's or snowmobiling or go boating and jet-skiing. Bring your own toys or rent from one of the locally owned businesses. Access the amazing trail system right from the cabin or gain access to the reservoir from 3 access points in Centennial Shores. There is something for every one regardless of the season. Whether a beginner or avid die-hard snowmobiler you can either enjoy the vast trail system or find over the hood powder right out the back door in the Jefferson Mountain Range. The area is wonderful for walkers and runners alike, either here within the community or on one of the local picturesque and tranquil trails.
If it is a day-trip you desire, there are plenty available from Hangin' Bear. For instance, YNP is only 35 miles north. Just south of the cabin down Highway 20 you can enjoy the beautiful Mesa Falls or take the time to hike through Harriman State Park, which is truly a serene area. Nearby, Henry's Fork of the Snake River and the Madison River are known as a fly fisherman's paradise. You may want to venture out on the guided float trips down the river, rent horses at a nearby ranch or make time for a round of golf at the Island Park Village Resort.
This is a non-smoking, pet free cabin. We are also under a county ordinance for short term rentals and ask that our guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health; we ask you stay within our occupancy limits, read the burn ordinances and please be neighborly.
