Wrongly accused of smoking inside the cabin when we followed the house rules and only smoked outside during our stay.We did use the wood burning stove inside even though it was questionable whether or not it was up to fire code.Received multiple calls from the owner by phone before a message was left upon call back owner was accusatory and abusive when I told him we didn't smoke inside he called me a liar said there was major damage which was cause to withholding my damage deposit and threatened me with a lawyer. Also the neighbors in the trailer next door were fighting on occasion and one time over heard them talking about shooting each other. My wife slipped and fell due to a poorly designed step down into the laundry room/half bath. The property sits on a major highway so the road noise can be bothersome.Over all it was a negative experience and I will never stay there again and my recommendation to any one else thinking about staying there would be to "STAY AWAY".
Very comfortable cabin
We spent 4 nights here visiting Taos and Angel Fire. Perfect location between the 2 with great amenities and peaceful setting especially at night! Beautiful views as the fall colors appear. Would definitely rent again.
A nice stay
We had a delightful stay at the Nook. The accommodations and appointments are comfortable and homey. The bed is excellent. They clearly maintain the property. The location between Taos and Angel Fire is ideal.
Cabin on Enchanted Highway
Very well stocked, landscaping needed attention , very good location , quiet area. Price was very reasonable.
"The Nook" at Taos
Very picturesque, remote location within Carson National Forest. The only slight drawback was the passing vehicle noise on Highway 64, although the traffic was almost negligible after dark. (And boy, was it dark!)
Check-in was a breeze, and the cabin had everything we needed. Over-all, the unit was clean, except for the laundry room, half-bathroom. The cleaning service seems to have missed that part of the cabin; but, again, the rest of the place was fine.
We really enjoyed our stay; close to Taos and about 90 minutes from Santa Fe.
We would not hesitate to recommend this place.
Tom and Lora
Convenient to both Taos and Angel Fire. Only issue was o cell service for our carrier, verizon
