Look no further, you won’t find a nicer place to stay in Yuma! If you are going to vacation, wouldn’t you rather do it in style? Our house has just about every upgrade you could imagine! On the inside it boasts soaring ceilings, a sky light, natural stone flooring, fine granite on all countertops, all natural stone his and hers walk in shower and dual sinks in the master suite.

The kitchen is FULLY stocked with everything you would need to make your favorite Sunday dinner. No skimping here. Just about everything in the house is either from Pottery Barn or William and Sonoma. Sit back and watch some Netflix in the living room on the enormous 50 inch flat screen plasma TV.

The pool alone would be worth the stay. Imagine, a cool night staring up at the stars in your spacious spool (spa & pool combined) with enough room to seat everyone. The temperature is a wonderful 105, the massaging jets running and the a gentle, relaxing light show is pulsating in the background.

About Yuma Vacation Rentals

We are a military family, stationed in lovely Yuma. Our family consists of two beautiful children and a husky named Pearl. We purchased the Morelos House in 2013 and spent most of the year putting the last touches and upgrades into it to get it ready for our renters.

Our favorite spots to frequent are Lotus Day Spa, Donut Coral, and Daybreakers.

Honestly, we just fell in love with it when we saw it. It was simply breathtaking all the care and work that was put into our future home. Our house is located in a quiet neighborhood, nestled into a great community out in the foothills and close to all the shopping available out there. It gives you enough privacy without feeling isolated and there is a spectacular view of the mountains.

What makes this house unique

As many home-shoppers will agree, after viewing dozens of homes, they all start to look alike after a while. Not so for the place on Morelos Drive. As soon as you step inside, the great room immediately pulls you in and the spaciousness of the combined dining, living and cooking area has a relaxing effect. And, the details really are astounding. Never before had we seen the quality of granite chosen to cover the seemingly ENDLESS counters in the (state-of-the-art) kitchen as well as in both bathrooms. The slabs of shining stone are works of art in themselves. Finally the pool, with all its therapy jets, swimming currents and underwater light shows.... we were sold. We knew we had found a one-of-a-kind property that we will enjoy for years to come.

Best Vacation Rental in Yuma!

Our family was fortunate enough to be able to stay here for few months over the summer. The home is bright, beautiful, and well-maintained. It’s in a safe and prestigious community, close to the most popular stores and restaurants. We walked around the neighborhood almost every morning and could tell residents take pride in their homes and landscaping, and this home was certainly no exception.

The house is well furnished with excellent décor. The kitchen is large and fully-stocked, the appliances are newer, the two-car garage actually fits two cars, the beds are super comfortable, the AC works great (even at 120 degrees outside air temperature), the walk-in-shower is spa-like inviting, but the highlight of the home for us was the pool. We had our four young children with us (the owner graciously welcomes families with children) and they learned to swim this summer, because the pool was just the right size to give them the confidence they needed to try. It was clean, inviting, and serviced twice a week by friendly local pool technicians.

Now with any home -or hotel, for the matter- things are going to occasionally break down. The few things we had issues with were promptly remedied by the owner. All I needed to do was let him know and he took care of it right away. He hires the most reputable service and repair companies in Yuma to maintain his home, and the few things we felt the house could use to make our stay more comfortable, were sent right away.

It was a pleasure communicating with the owner, and we’re convinced he is genuinely interested in the total satisfaction of his guests and works hard to make sure they have a great experience, as he did for us. If you’re going to stay in Yuma, we highly recommend you try to book this home. It will be the first place we try to reserve for our next trip.

Not Happy

When we arrived there was wet wash in the washer, a wet rag in the corner of the living room, water leaking from under the frig,the outside furniture was covered in sand and the back yard filled with weeds. Once we settled in we found out the frig wasn't getting cold enough and had several repair men to try and fix it but never did. We were told we would get $200 off the rental for the inconvenience and later told no because an area rug had to be cleaned, there were spots on it when we arrived and besides it cost $200 to clean an area rug? There were no dish towels, hand towels, hot pads or a spatula for the kitchen. The tv, cbl, dvd (ect) was a nightmare to operate. The pool-hot tub was out of commission for three days for cleaning(ect). Barking dogs from the Neighbors behind the house, only one TV, the grill wasn't working properly and i had to spend $25.00 on ice to keep milk and beer cold.

Owner's Response: It is always disheartening when a guest does not enjoy their stay. Most of the time it stems from lack of communication. We are constantly trying to improve when we hear something is wrong/missing. When I heard of the dish towels my cleaners brought some new ones over the same day. Sometimes things are lost and we don't know it until we hear from our guests! Just as you would call your hotel staff if you were missing a pillow, needed toiletries, or the TV wasn't working, just give us a call and we will take care of it. We have a guide for operating the TV and I tell every guest I am available to walk them through the process, since because of all the services we have available, it can be a lot to navigate! There is a guide in the home with instructions on how to operate the TV because we have an awful lot available there! I tell all my guests to give me a call and I can walk them through any difficulties over the phone! Pool unfortunately had to be drained and refilled to maintain safe chemical levels and we were sure to give a heads up prior to arrival! It was scheduled 2 months out. The charges were accurate, lots of spot treatment can add up. Other issues with the guest, but luckily now us homeowners can warn each other. Again, in order for us to give the best experience to our guests, we just need to know when something is not up to your standards! I try to demonstrate that I am always available to my guests and I take great pride in them enjoying their stay and the caliber of our home. So please, let me serve you.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your suggestions! We have since added more linens! We supply 8 towels standard in the house but have plenty more on hand so just give me a shout out in the future if more are required! We had to cut back on how many linens we left out because we found we had a bigger issue with theft and damage to them. As for the security deposit, we discount it to only $300.00 for repeat guests who had a positive rental experience with us! Come on back, and we can definitely do something about that security deposit :).

Lovely home... but...

Without question this is a lovely, desert 🌵󝐠home. There is a lot of room and you can accommodate six easily. The furniture in the house is ok.

The home is marketed as wheelchair accessible and it isn't. The shower door is too narrow for wheelchair access so we had to create entry using a patio chair that we purchased. There are no grab bars in the bathroom and we creatively managed access to the house and out to the pool area.

The pool, when working was the best part of our time away. We had problems with the TV for a few days, the battery operated door lock for a day, the washing machine for a week, the freezer part of the fridge for a month and the ice maker for 5 weeks. We knew our vacation was over when the pool heater stopped working.

We were always able to contact the owner but the response time, whether under his control or not, was very slow.

We were so excited looking forward to our first VRBO experience and so frustrated with all the problems we encountered. We ended up leaving 5 days before we planned to.

Oh, a minor inconvenience was the number of towels available and the lack of kitchen tea towels and washcloths.

The owner seems to be genuine and well intended. He is also easy to contact and he responds at his earliest convenience.

We are not likely to stay again because the home is not wheelchair accessible. I am almost certain that everything that could break down has, and is now repaired!

The guest was more than patient with all the repairs that seemingly popped up out of no where. They had an incredible amount of patience working with me through them all. After discussing our deficiencies with you when it comes to handicap accessible, I have since removed that from our listing. We refunded part of the stay because of the inconveniences and offered a discount for future stays as well. I thank you for taking the time to write this and to point out a few of the positive experiences you had at our home. Once again, I am so sorry your stay with us was not what it should have been.

The Yuma Foothills is located at the base of a beautiful purple mountain range that has many scenic trails (Telegraph Pass is a local favorite) at various levels of difficulty. This property is walking distance from the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course (the sun shines in Yuma on average of 355 days a year!) and a 15-minute drive from the Colorado River and various lakes offering many forms of fishing and boating activities (including a ferry boat tour of the Colorado showcasing our vast spectrum of local wildlife. Being one of the few desert towns with a river running through, many diverse species claim the Colorado as their home). There are three large Casinos averaging a 30-minute drive from this property, all offering frequent quality entertainment, and the newest Casino (The Q) boasts a five star restaurant and four star hotel- in house! Many new spas are springing up as well as wineries and art galleries in the historic downtown area (20 minute drive).
