You'll get no closer to the water than here at "Toes in the Sand" !
Our 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo is less than 50 feet from the turquoise blue Caribbean.
There is a gate from the condo gallery (patio) directly onto the beach.
Strap on your snorkel gear and head into the water.
The snorkeling is great at our artificial reef just a short swim away from the beach.
We even provide some snorkel gear !

Pour a cool drink and relax under the swaying palms to the sound of gentle waves slapping the shore while being caressed by the warm island breeze.

The gallery is comfortably furnished for evening relaxation and al fresco dining.
This large outdoor living area has an unobstructed ocean view.

Inside, you will find 2 comfortable bedrooms with A/C.
The Master bedroom features a King size bed, en suite bath and A/C.
The Guest bedroom has two twin beds and A/C.
The twins can combine to a King upon request.
The condo is stocked with board games, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and snorkel gear.
Got little ones?
Toe's in the Sand offers a Pak n Play and stroller for your convenience.
Two bathrooms, each with a new glass block shower are stocked with plenty of towels, soap and shampoo.

Colony Cove is a gated, security patrolled complex located close to Christiansted for dining, shopping and sight seeing.

There are 2 restaurant/bars within walking distance and 2 grocery stores that are a short drive.
A rental car is not a necessity but is recommended.
A selection of activity brochures will be available upon arrival or at the front desk.

SARGASSO Update:
The Caribbean Sea has been experiencing higher volumes of Sargasso sea grass in recent years. This sea grass can wash up and pile on the beach and create an unpleasant smell as it decays. It is most prevalent on the North and East side of the island. In large amounts it prevents enjoyable use of our beach.
The west end of the island has beautiful beaches that are almost always sea grass free.
The Sargasso grass is most prevalent during the hotter months of late July - September.
This condition is unpredictable on a week to week basis and something that is totally out of our control. As a result, unfortunately our current policy must be that we cannot issue refunds as a result of Sargasso.

The location was awesome! Easy to get places. The unit is dated and needs some fresh paint. The showers were nice. Looks like they might be in the process of updating the unit.

Perfect getaway
We stayed a week at this wonderful property. Enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the ocean with our coffee every morning. Location was great, easy access to the entire island

A little TLC
The overall stay was good. The location was great, by the pool, and could see the ocean at all times. Being a condo owner in Naples, Florida, I take pride in my condo when people are renting it. Making sure everything is clean and well stocked. That beinging said, this condo needs some TLC. Also, when it was raining, water was coming through the air conditioner in the front bedroom. We washed the doorwall windows and the floors were not clean.

Great condo on the north side
Fantastic location, only a few miles from town. You can be as quiet & secluded as you want, by walking out the patio door onto the sand in front of the condo, or talk with all the regular owners and guests at the pool/beach area right in front of the pool. If you want groceries/drinks, Food Town about a mile from the condo is the best bet with decent selection, and Pueblo is another close option. Colony Cove is rocky directly in front of the property, but Sugar Beach right next door (to the right) has a really nice sandy beach for swimming. Or out the door to the left in front of Mill Harbor there is a man-made reef for snorkeling. Note - if you arrive in Dec or January and experience the Christmas winds, you will enjoy a strong breeze that keeps the bugs at bay and makes the humidity tolerable...however the snorkeling could be sketchy because the wind churns up the normally beautiful turquoise-blue water to a hazy blue-brown with no visibility. And sadly we missed going to Buck Island because there is no way the average person would get on a boat in that wind. But relaxing at the community and having good waterfront restaurants in town made it worth-while.

We acquired our first Colony Cove unit in 2011 as a stepping stone onto the island.
( Toe's in the Sand VRBO 508070)
We purchased it 'site unseen', packed up our belongings, pets and business and were not disappointed in the least. Our plan was to live in the condo while building our business, then to buy a house and vacation rent the condo.
We have been fortunate enough to realize that dream.
We are still on island with no intention of ever leaving this tropical paradise.
We now have a house near Frederiksted and have since purchased an additional Colony Cove unit to share with YOU ! ( Island Time VRBO 1491472 )

Why they chose this property

Colony Cove is a beach side gated complex with pool, grills and tennis courts. All units have a least a partial ocean view. 'D' building is directly on the beach. Our unit is not only in the coveted 'D' building, but is ground floor with beach access from the unit. It is also at the private end and closest to Coral Sea Cafe restaurant.
The gate to Coral Sea is just out the front door to the right, or walk out back and take the beach route:)
