Beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our getaway to this quaint cabin! Our hosts respected our privacy and were accommodating about check in and check out times. The cabin is perfect for relaxing and reconnecting - no distractions, small, quiet, with a nice porch and firepit. We enjoyed one night in town in Brattleboro and spent the rest of the time unplugged and unwinding! Thank you, Lisa!

Super cozy and peaceful!

This cabin is the perfect antidote to shedding city stress and chaos. The peaceful, comfortable environment, beautiful natural surroundings and the care and attention that Lisa has put into making guests feel at home is outstanding. We plan on booking again and again!

A lovely cabin in a beautiful area

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weeklong stay in Lisa's cabin. Lisa was easy to contact and attentive, but respected our privacy (which is one of the beauties of this place). The downstairs had a kitchen where we cooked some nights, while the upstairs had a massive King-size bed that was so comfortable. The cabin is tucked away from the road and Lisa's house and offers a private spot in the woods with modern amenities (like really fast WiFi). Brattleboro and Guilford are a short drive away (go to the Blueberry House for ice cream and Three Stones for a Mayan dinner) as is New Hampshire and some national parks. It is a perfect area for eating well, hiking, and quiet.

Beautiful and thoughtful

  • 5 of 5

Every need has been anticipated and catered for. We had a completely chilled out 2 nights in between cities and will always remember the cosy feelings this cabin generated.

Recommend with no hesitation to anyone looking for a secluded getaway without the need to rough it.

Wonderful Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Serenity Now in chilly mid-March, and loved it! It is off the beaten path (which was a plus for us), but close enough to town and other points of interest that we felt like there were more than enough things to see and do. The cabin isn't huge, but is even bigger than the pictures suggest. PLENTY of room for a couple. Drinking coffee together at the kitchen table with those big windows was us in our happy place :) We LOVED the delicious local treats included in our stay, and appreciated how the Fords respected our privacy, yet were very available and helpful. Most of the time, we put the phones away, but WiFi worked extremely well in the cabin. A quick trip to the local market on the way, and we were all set for our stay.

It was fun to get the wood stove going, although the propane heater worked well, too. We tried snow-shoeing for the first time, which we will remember for years to come. Their property is beautiful, even when covered by snow! Would recommend shopping in Brattleboro, visiting Grafton Village cheese makers, checking out Hidden Springs Maple Farm, and eating/drinking at Whetstone Station. Local restaurants were all fantastic! Visit the Vermont welcome center if you have the opportunity. Seriously, it's pretty neat! We would definitely love to come back another time.

Cozy, homey, private retreat

  • 4 of 5

My girlfriend and I were looking for a quiet get away in vermont and this place was definately a fantastic choice on our part. It's an adorable size; very small but that only adds to the aesthetic. It gives off a "grandmas cottage" type of feel, welcoming you with the warm scent of organic soaps, oven cooking and mellow, mountain pawn decore.

The owner is also appeared to be a very sweet, genuine woman. I never formally met her, but she spoke very politely and deliberately went out of her way to assure we would have a wonderful stay there whilst also assuring our privacy.

Over all this cabin was just what we were looking for and more; the only thing negative i can gather from my stay was that the hot water heater was incredibly small and made showering a challenge (especially when the knobs are both confusing/unreliable). The stove also only has one setting for its temperature (its pretty old). These two problems, however, are legitimately it though. The host provided all the firewood you need, soaps and shampoos, bath robes, tools such as an axe/snow shovel, candles for dinner, full cooking utensils, an assortment of teas, a long list of places to go or things to do nearby, places to eat, and offered discounts for multiple things.

I hightly recommend this cabin; 10/10 its got a kind size bed with memory foam, what more do you want
