Our family (myself, my husband, our two teenage children, and my father) stayed in "Luise" and "Frederike" for 8 days in February, 2015. The apartments were perfect for us: my father stayed in the smaller apartment ("Frederike") which opened into the two bedroom "Luise" where we stayed. This gave us both plenty of space but the opportunity to share meals and spend time together. Both apartments were clean, tastefully furnished, and had everything we needed to cook and live comfortably. It was a pleasure to come back there every day after sightseeing. The location is excellent: the U-bahn is steps away, and there are two supermarkets nearby. The owner (Ute) is lovely: she patiently answered many questions via email, and she was warm and welcoming. The internet was down when we arrived and she got it fixed within two hours. I enthusiastically recommend this apartment to anyone who would like space, comfort, and the ability to cook while you are traveling!
Information for this apartment was very accurate. We were very satisfied with our stay here. The apartment was very clean and well furnished. Except for the night when Germany won the World Cup, it was very quiet. There is free parking. In addition, the apartment was next to public transportation and stores to buy food. The restaurants catered to locals. It was nice to stay in a residential area and get a real local feel for Berlin. Moreover, we felt very safe in the area for the entire time. When I come back to Berlin, I plan to come back to this apartment.
We were a group of nine and found the apartment relatively suitable for our needs. We need to mention a few drawbacks, however. The two people who slept on the living room sofa bed in Luise said it wasn't very comfortable and a tight fit for two people. There was not even a dresser in the living room to store their clothes and the bedding (they had to walk through the Friederike living room to get to the closets in the hallway). Also, the person in the Friederike living room had to cope with people from the bedroom walk through her room to get to the bathroom and kitchen. Fortunately, our group members knew each other and were accommodating. We also wished there had been a few more electric outlets in the Friederike bedroom. The street noise on Richard-Wagner-Platz, starting early in the morning, was stressful for sensitive ears.
We made good use of the large open floor plan in Luise, because we were able to enjoy breakfast together each day. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the apartment was spotlessly clean. The location is convenient, right next to the U-Bahn and across the street from a bus that goes directly to Bahnhof Zoo which has connections to the entire city. There are grocery stores in the area and plenty of restaurants. It's a real exception that the two apartments combined have a total of three showers and toilets. We really appreciated that.
All-in-all, we would recommend booking Friederike and Luise for a large group of people who are getting along well. It had everything we needed—good location, plenty of bathrooms, and fast, reliable wifi. It made our stay in Berlin a breeze.
We stayed 7 people in the apartments for 4 nights and everything was perfect. The location is very good. In front of the building is the entrance for Subway and behind the house there is Edeka and other small shops. The only negative thing is; in the small flat the bedroom is loud because of the traffic. Sitting in the balcony was very nice after a long day in the city.
I will stay here in this apartments definitely again.
Sehenswürdigkeiten wo man vielleicht hin sollte, wären Fernsehturm, Brandenburger Tor, Olympia Stadion etc.
Several supermarkets are part of delicatessen and fresh fish within a few minutes. The house itself can be found late shop, bakery, ice cream, hairdressers, opticians, etc. Within walking distance you in a gym environment, many small businesses, as well as the Wilmersdorferstraße, one of the most modern roads and shopping streets of Berlin. At the beginning of Wilmersdorferstraße a popular Berlin neighborhood with many restaurants and pubs. Despite its central location you are within 300 meters of the River Spree, with their green spaces for walking, jogging, walking, cycling. Leave your soul at a beach bar. On the River Spree, you can run through the park up to Spandau or through the Tiergarten to reach the Hansa quarter, past the Brandenburger Gate and Potsdamer Place other attractions in Berlin-Mitte with the square, Hackescher Markt.
