About the property

3 Bedroom, 4 Bath With Mountain Views. Lots Of Parking

Come and relax in the peaceful surroundings of rural western Colorado. Located 20 minutes from Grand Junction. Stay in the three bedroom, 4 bath home that sleeps a total of 9 people, two in each of the upstairs bedrooms, four in the downstairs bedroom (two queen beds), plus a day bed area for another person to sleep. Enjoy the morning sunshine beaming through the floor to ceiling windows as you breakfast at the dinette or on the outdoor patio.

Read a book in the sunroom while viewing the Grand Mesa National Forest Mountains, or glance out on a clear day and see the snow packed San Juan Mountains in a distance. Look to the west and see the Uncompagre Mountains. Better yet, bring a jeep, four wheeler, or 4 wheel drive vehicle and visit all these mountains within a few minutes of the home.

Watch the peaceful beauty of nature from the comfort of the living room chair while deer, pheasants, quail, bunny rabbits and domestic horses roam the 40 acre property. Or, enjoy the convenience of Dish Network television.

Maybe a hiking or snow shoeing day is on your agenda. If you want to get away and relax, or want an outdoor wonderland, not too far from the home, than this is the place for your next stay.

This is property will have a caretaker or owner on site to tend to the livestock, fields, yard work and flowers. They live in an apartment upstairs, separate from the house. You may see them working, they won't disturb you. Unless you want to be.

High speed Internet service is available.

Tranquil Time to Recharge

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Linda Weber for opening your home to us. It was an outstanding experience that we are still processing. Your beautiful photos and description are just an inkling of what all is in store with an actual visit.

We felt so comfortable in the spacious accommodations but it was cozy because of the furnishings. The handcrafted details were incredibly fine and tasteful.

Peaceful, serene and calming are the words that help describe the surroundings. We delighted in observing the menagerie of birds, bunnies and Morgan horses. Rick was so funny describing the one he called Pester.

We sat outside at night and reveled in the brilliant light of all the stars. We sure miss that where we live. Mere words just can't capture all the beauty out there.

Thanks again for your hospitality.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words. I, too, feel the same way about living in this area. The stars are one of my favorite beauties of the area. Please come again and enjoy.

This is a wonderful getaway within driving distance to the town of GJ and other appealing spots such as the Mesa, the Monument and Gateway, CO. The home is filled with all of the amenities necessary to thoroughly enjoy your stay. The setting is a spectacular venue to observe the sunrise / sunset. We enjoyed our stay immensely !

Great place for family and friends. Plenty of room.

  • 5 of 5

The parking was great, and Linda has very good instructions throughout the house for making your stay easier. We had a poker weekend with the boys, and had a blast. My only input for improvement would be a larger trash receptacle, and a recycle bin. Other than that, I would highly recommend this house.

Beautiful Surroundings

  • 5 of 5

The house and property are stunning. We spent a considerable amount of time outside watching nature and the sunset. The interior of the house is beautifully designed and immaculate. There is not one thing you could need that this house doesn't have for a quiet weekend or a big celebration.

Beautiful property with fun activities for the whole family

  • 5 of 5

As you drive to the property you wonder "What have I gotten myself into?" The drive is desolate and all the properties are very barren. Just before you arrive to the property you come to the top of a mesa that is beautiful, lush and green.

The entire property is covered in 40 acres of grass with multiple horses in the pasture. The owners provide everything you need including multiple yard games and plenty of toys for little kids. There is a fire pit and a basically unlimited supply of wood for you to use. As you look up in the sky at night you can clearly see the stars as there is little to no light pollution.

Inside the home is everything you need and expect to have in your own home. The house is clean and tidy and the bedrooms are very spacious.

All in all this is a great place to visit

Linda and Rick's house is amazing

  • 5 of 5

Linda and Rick's house is amazing. It is classy and comfortable, and we found everything we need in it. Everyone enjoyed watching the horses and taking in the amazing scenery. At night, the house is surrounded by total darkness, which is thrilling and calming. I wish I will have the opportunity to go back to stay for longer.

From the front door step into an outdoor wonderland of hiking, biking, horse back riding, four wheeling, and jeeping, just a short drive away from the property. Hike the Grand Mesa trails, or drive to the Uncompagre for even more trails. Bring your horse and take a horse back ride into the Grand Mesa National Forest. Bring your four wheelers or jeep and drive the many trails that await on the Uncompagre National Forest. Or, just sit back and relax in the comfort of a quiet and peaceful rural setting where the nearest neighbor and main road is a quarter of a mile away. It's so quiet, you will hear a birds wings flap as they pass overhead. Really!
