Secluded Mountain Cabin Near South Entrance of Yellowstone

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,800 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 1 - 3 nights

About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Can you imagine looking out your window or sitting on one of three decks looking across two mountain peaks at the most beautiful scenery you have ever put your eyes on. When you close your eyes all you hear is the wind blowing. Pictures and words cannot do it justice. That is what you can look forward to! Hardwood floors, log beds, two fireplaces, three decks, a pool table, and rustic decor are all amenities you get at The Yellowstone Hideaway and it is near the south entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

This is an individual mountain cabin with over 1800 heated square feet, located on over three acres of secluded private mountain land. Don't just stay at a camp ground or a hotel where you have no privacy! Our Yellowstone cabin is secluded, private, and big enough to sleep everyone comfortably. This Yellowstone lodging is just right for honeymooners, families, or groups. Perfect for your mountain vacations.

Located just outside of Dubois gives you a verity of choices for dining. There are a number of restaurants located in town and a couple of really nice restaurants that I prefer just a couple minutes drive just up the mountain from the cabin. Or if you are interested in shopping there are a number of rustic quaint shops located in Dubois or make a short drive to Jackson Hole.

This cabin is located within a couple of miles of national forest accessible by Car or ATV. That's right, you can leave the cabin on an ATV and within minutes be exploring hundreds of miles of trails and numerous area lakes. Go hiking, hunting, fishing, bird and game watching, picnicking, or just sit on the deck and enjoy out of this world views while reading a book. We can help provide ATV Rentals and can help you in reservations for white water rafting and horseback riding. Come visit nature at it's best and enjoy true mountain living in the perfect Yellowstone National Park lodging cabin. Closed during winter months.

Let us share our family vacation home with you!

Love staying here!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year vacationing at the hideaway and once again, loved our time here. We come to ATV and enjoy the mountains away from the crowds. The beauty of staying here is you are still close enough to enjoy the parks. Dubois is a great hub for hiking, fishing, horseback riding, ATV/UTV rides, wildlife and landscape photography, etc. And the comfort of the cabin makes vacationing here a great choice. Thank you once again for sharing your cabin with us.

High Up!

  • 4 of 5

The road was a little scary and rough, but the drive way was the worst! After a few times pulling into the drive way it was fine. Not much parking room or room to turn around. (more than one car)

The house was nice and clean and the view was out of this world! The house is pretty open, 1 bed in the loft, one on the main floor and one downstairs. I think it's a little far from Yellowstone and the Tetons and the town of Dubois is about 12 miles. Dubois is a very small town with the basic needs. Overall we had a great time!

Owner's Response: We are happy you had a great time. The cabin is in the mountains but the county does a pretty good job with maintaining the roads. Ourselves and our past guests have been to the cabin in cars, suvs, and minivans and we have never had any issues. The county tries to grade the road on a regular basis but at times there can be a few bumps. Sorry, but that is part of being in the mountains and not in a resort. We always recommend potential guests mapquest the location and distances to potential destinations from the cabin so they can plan their trip accordingly. Hope you consider staying with us again in the future. Thank you!

Location, location, location!

  • 4 of 5

Fantastic view, beautiful sunrise, and a very comfortable cabin. Dubois is a few minutes away, the Grand Tetons about an hour, and Yellowstone 29 miles further. The Crooked Creek Guest Ranch just up the mountain has very good food and a relaxed mountain lodge feel. The National Forest, a few minutes further up the mountain, offers hiking, sightseeing, and animal viewing....and...We did not see another person! Added to all of this, public access fishing on the Wind River close by... mule deer prancing around the cabin morning and night...and no visits by a bear! We had an enjoyable experience and would return at the drop of a hat.

Great location and views

I really enjoyed this property. The TV never was turned on because the views off the back deck are so stunning. Very nice place, well maintained. I definitely would rent this place again.

The View

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. I could have stayed the whole time on the deck. What a view! We enjoyed cooking on the grill and playing pool. We also enjoyed the nearby town of Dubois and going to Brooks Lake and hiking to Jade Lake from there. The ride to the Tetons or Yellowstone is just a special place in this country.

spectacular setting

  • 4 of 5

This is by far the nicest cabin I have ever stayed in. Beautiful log cabin with fantastic views. we had deer right outside the cabin and were able to see a couple coyotes on the drive up the mountain. I would highly recommend this cabin to friends looking for a vacation spot.

Thanks for the opportunity to stay on a mountain.
