The property has a heated pool . When we went there they informed that the pool is usually closed during winters and it was also under repair . Why have a heated pool that is close see for winter ? Comical !!! Also if that is tge case and by f it is under repair for the past few weeks , it should have been mentioned by the site or the owner !!! Pathetic
The chalet is great, compact and well equipped, it is situated on a quiet well maintained site.
The site is great for younger children with a pool and play area. There is a club house on site, but it is only open occasionally and has no bar. Although there is a bar in the hostel just outside the top of the site if this is what you want.
There are also 4 places to eat locally, a Mexican outside the top of the site, Manor house on site, village pub a few miles away and a fish and chip bar on the beach. We only tried the fish and chip bar, which was nice but over prices as you would expect in these types of places.
The site is situated in the countryside and a short drive to the beach, with Tenby, Saundersfoot and Carmarthen within easy driving distance, there are castles and nice country walks if the weather is good. But there is not a great deal to do if it rains, which it inevitably does in Wales.
This chalet and site are ideal for a quiet get away, or for family's with young children, as there appears to be more activities/days out aimed at younger children.
My husband and I stayed with our 15, 13 & 11yr old children and found it a little too quiet for our needs. The site is residential and not designed for older kids or lively family's, which is understandable, but definatly worth knowing before booking.
The chatel it's self is very clean and well equipped for it's size, it has everything you would need all be it on a smaller scale, e.g. pan's, tv etc, as you would expect from a holiday home. The only draw back for us where the beds, we found these uncomfortable.
Thank you to Maureen for being a great host.
It was a pleasure for us to stay in this chalet. Maureen thanks for all.
We were very pleased with the chalet and facilities. It was home from home all we needed was our towels and food . Everything else was available. We attended a wedding at the Mansion House which was a pleasant 2 minute walk there through the Park which was also lit up when we returned late in the evening. Would book again and recommend this.
The booking through holiday letting was easy & smooth. The information/joining pack was very detailed and precise.
Our children loved the location and it is only a very short drive (5mins) to a quiet and unspoilt beach (Llansteffan), with toilet facilities, tea room and ice cream cabin.
We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time, visiting Tenby, for it’s watersports activities, went mountain trekking at Pen Y Fan in Becon Breacons National Park. Would come back again!
We loved this small, quiet, well maintained site, especially the beautiful swimming pool. It's the ideal location for exploring this part of Wales, with great access to beaches, countryside, towns and tourist attractions. Lots to keep our teenagers interested. The chalet is simple but well equipped and surprisingly roomy. Our only reservation was that the beds and seating could be more comfortable. But it's amazing value for a family holiday. The host was very helpful too!
Whether you wish to simply relax on the Beach or by the Pool, or prefer to explore the beautiful countryside, Elmrise Park is ideally placed by being near enough to the Historic Market Town of Carmarthen, yet also being only 5 minutes from the picturesque estuary and beaches of Llanstephan.
With plenty of parking and the Castle at the beginning of some woodland walks, an ideal day out. There are several seaside towns within an hours driving distance. To the South Pendine, with its seven mile beach. Tenby, where you can take a boat to Caldey Island and Saundersfoot with its harbour and fishing trips to the West.
