The apartments are in a new sought after resort right on the black sea coast in St Vlas. The resort is built on high ground thereby granting the apartments great views of the surrounding sea and coastal area. Nearby is a new marina - a big attraction with fine restaurants and stylish bars and shops.
Each apartment is within its own complex that has a pool(with children's area) and restaurant/bar areas, 24 hour security and parking and staff/management ensuring the upkeep of the complex. Also, all the facilities of each complex are at the disposal of the guests - this includes a gym, hair dresser/beauty treatment saloon, internet cafe, shop & bureau de change. The resort area is free from local traffic and it is easy to get around in a relaxed manner.
Of real benefit is the location of the resort. It is front line and on high ground thereby offering great views. It is also right next to the Sveti Vlas village (albeit small town really) thus offering easy access by foot at any time.
How to get here: Nearest airport to fly into is Burgas. It is then only about 30 minutes by taxi to the the apartment. However, you could fly to Varna as well. A taxi journey to the apartment from this airport is about 1 hour & 45 minutes. Another option to consider is flying to Sofia. There are often cheap deals to this airport as Sofia is the capital. Bus journeys from Sofia are cheap but be aware they take a long time i.e. up to 7.5 hours. There are also internal flights.
There are a lot of car-hire opportunities at all the airports and also in Sveti Vlas/Sunny Beach. We can provide some contact details regarding car hire if you need it. Most guests that book our apartment require a taxi from the airport and we can pre-arrange this service for you. This is most likely the handiest option as you are taken directly to your apartment.
St Vlas Area: The resort has it's own private beach and the apartments overlook or have a short walk to it. In all, there are 3 sandy beaches in St Vlas. Indeed, right along the coastal line of St Vlas in both directions, there are pockets of sandy beach areas interspersed with rocky pebbly places and high cliff faces. Some are very secluded and ideal for those in search of privacy. As you are surrounded by the picturesque slopes of the Balkan mountains and green forests, you are never far from a tranquil spot offering great views.
A 10 minute walk take you to St Vlas village - an unspoilt Bulgarian town that this is extremely convenient for getting early morning freshly baked bread & fresh fruit supplies. The town also has a good selection of restaurants - many have open air seating and provide live music as part of the evenings entertainment. In addition, there are lots of bus excursions, boat rides, walking, horse riding, water sports on offer and car hire is available from several companies.
Sunny Beach (5 min from St Vlas area): Next to St Vlas is the international resort of Sunny Beach which practically stretches from St Vlas in the North to Nessebar to the south. For a more high-spirited experience you need to go there - It is a 5 minute taxi ride from St Vlas. The resort offers a range of hotels, restaurants, open air markets and is rich in entertainment facilities.
Trips and entertainment on offer includes: - (a) Off road adventures (i.e driving quads, horse riding, air-rifle shooting, a short trip by a horse cart) (b) Excursions (.i.e. Sozopol: the oldest Greek colony on the Black Sea coast, Ropotamo:- one of the most beautiful Bulgarian rivers with its drowned estuary and white water-lilies, Bulgarian village: An excursion which will take you through some typical villages near St Vlas and will acquaint you with the unique Bulgarian folklore. Enchanting programme of dances and songs, Istanbul: with its orient features rich churches and mosques and beautiful shores) (c) Yacht trips.
This is a 1 bedroom top floor apartment in complex called LAZUR.
The apartment is tiled through out, has air conditioning units in main living area and bedroom, a bathroom complete with shower unit, an inner hall, a big living room with an open plan kitchen. Apartment allow for full self-catering with dining seating for 6 and further seating in the balcony. Also two sofas in the lounge can convert to double beds at night.
A set of attractive PVC double glazed windows and door leads from the lounge to a good size balcony (see photo section) designed in the traditional Bulgaria style. The apartment is on high ground and is south west facing - thus ideal for providing shade from the early morning sun and perfect for watching the sunset after a hard day's sunbathing.
Apartments are all on 3rd floor and thus have good views. Also, they are located a short stroll from the beach across the grounds of the resort. Several complexes exist on the resort - which is a large central area with no through traffic and with lots of well manicured grounds. The main village of Sveti Vlas is also with walking distance and has good supermarkets and restraurants.
There are also lots of cafes and restraurants dotted around the resort.
All of these reasons makes the location a good choice for all holiday-makers and especially for families with small children. The resort is not overcrowded and this makes it easier to feel relaxed and not having to worry continually about the kids. The beach is closeby and it is easy to spead your time without having to travel anywhere by taxi or car
Three apartments are advertised on the website; a two bedroom apartment and a one bedroom apartment. All are close to the beach and within walking distance of each other.
The resort has a great location. It is on high ground and therefore all the apartments are afforded great views. The nearby Sveti Vlas village is walking distance away and this is very handy as it reduces dependancy on taxi's or a car. There are no lack of shops, supermarkets and restraurants in the village and all this makes for a very pleasant experience.
There is no through traffic within the resort as it is more or less self-contained. Also overcrowding is not an issue. All this is of real benefit for families managing young kids or for holiday-makers looking for a peaceful holiday in the sun.
Lots of good feedback received on all 3 apartments - see 'notes on accommodation' section above for comments from previous guests. Summer 2008 will be the 3rd season of letting the apartments and we continue to make improvements mainly based on the constructive comments we have received.
Apartment was atrocious.
Bedding was yellow and heavily stained. Old bloody on the quilt cover.
Settee was too stained to sit on without a sheet underneath you.
Handles falling off, broken light shades.
Bathroom was covered in mound and extremely grubby.
Walls with patches of paint on as if they've half heartly covered up stains
No wifi even when buying a passcode.
And to top it off up the biggest steepest hill ever!!
The pool area, all be it 106 steps away was great. Friendly staff, good wifi, food n drinkies served poolside or and the bar.
The apartment is nice and clean, we really enjoyed staying there. The location is pretty good, city canter and the beach are quite near. The owner, Padraic was very helpful and answered all our questions. We are already planning coming there next summer! I definetly recommend it to everyone.
we spent last summer holiday in this apartment. for 2 adults and 1 child accommodation is very good. well-equipped kitchen. beautiful and quiet area. ideal for families with small children.
Everything is awesome! Like in the song in Lego Movie. We have received the key by post, arrived to Burgas airport, picked up the rented car, arrived to Sveti Vlas. This town is beyond argument the best place on the bulgarian seashore. The town itself looks brand new, parks are well maintained. Buildings are nice, everything is present to be a very good holiday destination. The seashore is fine, nice restaurants and bars are available for reasonable prices. The apartment itself is exactly as described, it is spacious, clean, well equipped.
Balcony is a gem, we sat hours in the evenings just enjoying the summer breeze. Air condition cooled the apartment as it should. The apartment house has a pool which is fine and the restaurant in the house is good enough as well. In the evenings the employees put tables around the pool that is enlighted, making a classy atmosphere for a fine supper. Butter tongue is fantastic! Prices are more than acceptable and the food is great! If you like the see and sand beaches, there is hardly another place to find for a reasonable price in total. There are not too much things to see on the bulgarian seaside, Nesebar is the main attraction, worth a walk. I would recommend this apartment for anyone with children! We had a pleasant stay! We contacted the owner with less than a week prior to our holiday. Even so, the holiday was booked with ease and no fuss, including transfer from Bourgas Airport to the apartment in Sveti Vlas. Prior to leaving for the holiday, the owner, Padraic, provided comprehensive information on things to do and visit whilst in the resort.
The 1 bedroom apartment at Lazur 1 was large and fully equipped with everything you would need to enjoy your holiday. There is a large balcony which offers views over the pool and the black sea.
This was our first visit to Bulgaria and more than surpassed our expectation. The local Bulgarians are friendly and go out of their way to help.
Within a short distance of the apartment there is a number of small supermarkets, a bakery and restaurants.
Also within a short walk is a beautiful beach and marina. A 10 minute walk in the opposite direction brings you to Sveti Vlas village, with a larger range of shops, restaurants, and bars.
We could not believe the price of food and drink, with a large beer, glass of local wine and a coke coming in under £2.50 and a two course evening meal including wine and other drinks costing less than £30.
We had a fantastic time and would recommend this apartment and resort for couples and families looking for a good quality, inexpensive and relaxing holiday.

The lazur complex was beautiful, with a very cheap yet good quality restaurant on site (I'd recommend it for a nice lunch). Only a five minute walk from the beach where you were always guaranteed sunbeds, again there are two bars on the beach both selling food and drinks. The apartment itself was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed inside. It also had a lovely view of the pool. A walk up into the village is worth it where there are a range of restaurants serving great food to choose from. We also got a taxi into the lively Sunny Beach some nights where there are even more restaurants. In Sunny Beach there is also a variety of clubs and bars to choose from. The area is quiet and secluded, lovely for a relaxing couples holiday or with the family.
The holiday village of Sveti Vlas is a beautiful coastal village located at the foot of the Baltic mountain range. The natural presence of the mountain, forest, and sea together with the southern exposure of the mountain slopes, combine to give the area its own micro-climate that is extremely healthy and appropriate for full relaxation. Typically, the days during the summer and the autumn period are warm and sunny with a welcoming refreshing breeze coming in off the sea.
Visitors can also avail of the varied amenities and busy night life at Sunny Beach, just 5 minutes away by taxi . Sveti Vlas can be considered a more quiet resort that will mostly suit families with kids or people who wish to take refuge from its more heaving neighbour resort
St Vlas has a rich history and gets its name from a 14th century merchant patron who was a stockbreeder and a healer. St Vlas is honoured by both the Catholic and the Orthodox churches.
