Those less adventuresome can drive to the top via the Mount Battie State Park entrance. Either way the reward is a marvelous view of the harbor, bay, and outlying islands. If you would rather not cook your own lobsters in our convenient outdoor propane lobster and shellfish pot, take a walk to the wharf for a lobster feast at Peter Ott's on the harbor, enjoy a harbor view from The VIEW rooftop bar at 16 Bay View hotel, wonderful dining in town at FRESH & CO., and award winning LONG GRAIN (reservations recommended) among others. Or you can chose to hang out with the locals at Cuzzy's and enjoy a Maine micro-brew beer and play some pool. You may also want to reserve a spot on one of the various wooden sailing schooners for a tour of Penobscot Bay or learn to kayak with Maine Sports Kayak Tours. Town events include the Camden Food and Wine Festival in June, Country Roads Artist & Artisans Tour in September and Lobster Festival in nearby Rockand In July.
