The condo itself was not bad, we had a few issues but Judy was more than helpful in getting them fixed.
They do not clean the pool or the surriundings daily nor would they allow the use of the lounges at the pool, they stayed locked up the whole time we were there.. The beach was only cleaned twice the week we were there. The seaweed was extremely bad this past week. The building is older and in need of repairs. Valet parking only so there's extra cost there. Overall the owner was very nice but I cannot recommend the Ocean Manor as a place to stay on your next family vacation.
Well I guess I should be grateful that at least I personally got a good review! Nothing is as it should be in the middle of a pandemic unfortunately. There is a long history of reviews on the property and typically one would not find complaints about pool cleaning or lounge chairs not being able to be used. I just think right now nothing is operating at peak efficiency. And sadly, I haven't figured out a way to stop seaweed from rolling in from the ocean! It is called red tide and it is a product of global warming. Certain weeks it will role in and then it will just disappear and be perfect for months on end. There's just no way to tell when it's going to happen. And certainly no way to control it. It is happening all over the globe and is especially bad in Mexico right now. All public workers are operating at minimal capacity so cleaning seaweed is probably lower on the list. But even if the city were going to try to clean it the seaweed would just roll back in five minutes. I do make it very clear in the listing of my property that valet parking is the only option. It is $10 a day and you can come in and out as many times as you like. Any other resort up and down the beach charges $25 a day. As such, most consider ours to be a bargain. As I stated in many other reviews, the building is older. Nothing I can do about that. The good news is, my particular unit has had every single thing replaced. So there is nothing old about it. It is modern, clean and very well kept. Nowadays we are taking incredible precautions to sanitize and use hospital grade cleaners on every part of the unit and everything that could be touched.
Spring break overload
Great property and location but stay away from those weeks where Ft Lauderdale is overrun by college kids. It’s loud, dirty and crowded
Glad you enjoyed the condo. Not much we can do about some of the spring break weeks. The city is going to be cracking down on them because they really don't like spring break anyting in Fort Lauderdale. But if you just go and spend the day in any of the beaches in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea or Pompano you'll find them to be free of Spring Breakers completely. Unfortunately they do not have condos to rent by the week. They only have hotels and those aren't even on the ocean.

Pompano Beach Dropoff

Located about a half mile south of the Pompano Pier, this snorkeling spot features flat rock masses, some 100 feet wide, with all kinds of corals, seawhips and sponges. Some of the rock pieces have crumbled over time, creating holes and caves that have become homes to small marine life. The site is about 350 yards offshore and the depth varies from 6 to 22 feet.

I have always been a forward thinker when it comes to vacation rentals. I have been in the business so long WiFi wasn't even a thing! I had WiFi in my units when it was absolutely unheard of. Nobody was willing to spend the money to put it in their units. But coming from a business world I felt as though there were going to be people working on vacation whether they wanted to or not. I also installed a fax machine back in the days when faxes were a thing. Now of course everybody has WiFi.

People love the comforts and size of a condo with all the hotel amenities including poolside cocktails and food. This property has it all.......even has yoga classes on the sand!
