Vacation in Silverthorne
This is a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed the accommodations and will certainly make a return trip. Owner was very kind and shared helpful informations about local amenities.
Wonderful property ! Perfect for what we needed. Dave & Bobbie were amazing hosts!
Loved staying here for my trip to Colorado. It was in a great location to get to the mountains. Also the view of the Rockies was gorgeous

I apologize for the long review. Perhaps it will help someone out there.
This property is very clean and decorated very well. The owners have done the best they can with the property owned. That said, it is what it is. The price is low and seems like a great deal based on the age of the property and the permanent tenants that live there. It is an old property. What you don't get from the pictures would be the uneven floors, the unlevel bed, the people upstairs, and the constant noise of the outside stairs immediately outside the sliding glass doors which are traveled constantly from those going to floors above you. This causes noises and shakes in the living room and kitchen area.
For us, the 30 min drive to get to different skiing locations was acceptable. It's not the most convenient location but not bad either. The fact you have to go down the mount from this location to get to anything also was not a factor or troublesome. There is a definite area (at least during our stay) where the road was cleared of snow and ice and then it just stopped each day prior to this condo's location.
We were scheduled to leave on a Sunday morning. The Saturday morning before we we to leave, a water main broke causing an outage. Although this is no fault of the owners (nor ours), we soon found out the problem was ours and not the owner's. Although there was no water for drinking, showers, coffee, or any other things, the larger problem was for using the toilet. We were told by the owners that the main building next to our unit still had water and we should get a couple of pitchers out of the kitchen and walk to that building, fill the pitchers with water, walk back and pour the water into the toilet to drain it. Keep in mind it's 9 degrees with snow and ice outside and you just used the bathroom. Not knowing how long this would last, we decided to leave that morning. We were told we would not be reimbursed for that night.
Although the owner's are extremely nice up front and very easy to get in touch with, we were quickly reminded it's easy to be nice when things are going great and they want your business. Yes, the water line break was not their fault. But not ours either. It was a simple reminder this is business (which they told us in the text) and this one is not paying the price for anything going wrong with their customers.

The condo was just perfect! Great location, cozy, clean, inviting, well-furnished ... and just felt like home. I really appreciated that all the remote controls were well-labeled and that there were more than enough towels, blankets and pillows. The kitchen was also wonderfully equipped, and I liked that we could leave a few non-perishable food items for the next guests, and that we didn't have to throw away food (as we had flown to CO). In fact, we enjoyed a can of soup that someone had left behind. It is those little things that made it feel like home! I cannot recommend this unit enough and hope to return soon! Also, the hosts also treat you like family and their communication - from check-in to check-out - was superb.
This condo is so beautiful, conveniently located to shopping and many ski resorts! This property is well-maintained and we loved our stay here! Thanks for the hospitality.
