This 110 m2 apartment, located on the third story of an elevator building on the prestigious Carrer de Muntaner in L'Esquerra de l'Eixample, has beautiful period details, including original mosaic floors, high plaster ceilings, stain-glass windows and polished wooden archways. A modern fully equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom with shower, bathtub, and toilet, and another half-bath (toilet and sink) offers the perfect combination of elegance and practicality.

There is a large master bedroom with an arched sitting area at the back of the apartment, while two smaller bedrooms, one windowed, one without, line the hallway, so that no bedroom faces the street, providing for a peaceful night's sleep. The large living room has six tall windows opening onto terraces, with couches and a television. An adjoining dining area comfortably seats 6.

Within walking distance to Placa Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, las Ramblas and the historic districts of El Born, El Raval and El Barrio Gotico the apartment is ideally located. Restaurants, shops, a supermarket, and public parking are all nearby.

We are a NYC family. I used to come to Barcelona to shoot TV commercials and loved it, now I just visit for fun with the family. I plan to spend 6 months a year in Europe and use it as a base.

We wanted something that felt like it was part of Barcelona, not just a mod apartment you could find anywhere. There's some beautiful detail, and it's in one of the best areas. It's great for families because we get a nice big master and the kids have their own rooms.

What makes this apartment unique

It is very sunny. The stores and restaurants in the surrounding blocks are first-rate. You can walk to the historic districts but you are not surrounded by tourists, so it feels more like a neighborhood you live in.

Very comfortable and convenient!

We spent six days in Barcelona and always enjoyed retreating to a comfortable home away from home after a full day of sightseeing or just walking the diverse neighborhoods just blocks from the apartment. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows kept me in bed longer than my usual sleep. The wall AC units worked great and the small kitchen was very practical with all the necessary pots and appliances, and a full size refrigerator! There was several cafes and restaurants within a three-block radius, as well as bars, grocery stores and a huge produce and meat market. Since there were seven of us, an additional full-size bath would have been nice. However we managed with the 1.5 bathrooms available. I would definitely recommend the apartments for small groups and families.

An absolute gem in the heart of Barcelona

My wife and three kids (ages 11, 13, and 15) spent five nights at this spectacular apartment in Barcelona at the end of June. It is located on a quiet, tree-lined street in an upscale residential neighborhood. It is walking distance to all the sights (10 - 20 min.), and a Metro station is nearby (5 - 10 min).

The apartment has beautiful original detail and mosaic tile, yet has modern (but small) kitchen and bathrooms (only one full bath, though). A really small building elevator is good for transporting luggage. David, Lisbeth, and Graciela made the process of booking, checking, and checking out incredibly easy and were gracious throughout. When we unexpectedly arrived late at night due to flight delays, Graciela met us at the apartment and gave us a warm and thorough introduction to the apartment and the city.

We enjoyed everything about our stay, would do it again, and highly recommend it!

Amazing experience

My family and I stayed at Mr Silver's place for 5 nights this summer. Everything was incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable for 6 adults and a 1 year old. Graciela and team were incredibly responsive and accessible throughout our stay.

Location: The apartment is centrally located with plenty of stuff to do within walking distance. Plenty of cabs were available at the corner if we weren't up for walking. The street is quiet at night and feels safe. We enjoyed a lot of the nearby restaurants and bars which were recommended in their extensive welcome guide.

Extras: Knowing we had a small child with us, they helped us rent a crib and put some baby supplies in the apartment which helped make our stay comfortable. Everything was very enjoyable and we would definitely return!

Our experience was fabulous at this apartment! Great location close to wonderful coffee shops and restaurants. They have a very helpful house manual with restaurant recommendations and activities. The apartment is exactly as pictured , chic, clean and modern!! My family of 5 had an absolute blast in Barcelona!

Great apartment, centrally located, safe area.

We loved staying at this apartment while in Barcelona! There was plenty of room for our family of four (two children, 9 & 4 years old) and a travel nanny. The apartment has such great character, as it is in an older building. It was clean, cool, quiet, and had all the necessities needed for a great stay.

We shopped at the Mercat Ninot which is close by and made breakfast with the fresh ingredients every morning before heading out to explore. There is wonderful upscale clothing blocks away and restaurants and bars everywhere. We just loved exploring and finding new places to try! One of our favorites was a cozy wine bar named Cellarer. The two owners of the wine bar are very knowledgable about Spanish wines, friendly and welcoming. The small bites they serve are fantastic!

Graciela, who met us upon arrival, was warm and welcoming and answered all of our questions. She was very helpful, even reserving a taxi for the five of us to get to the train station on the morning we left.

The apartment has a wonderful folder filled with maps and suggestions for food, sights and anything you need to know about the apartment. It was appreciated and helpful.

We would definitely stay at this apartment again if we visit Barcelona!

Gorgeous apartment near excellent restaurants

Our family of 5 stayed at this apartment for 4 days and loved it. The original details of the tiled floors and moldings in the ceilings were gorgeous. The living room is bright and sunny, and the bedrooms can turn into cool, dark caves -- perfect for staying on "Spanish time!" Our Spanish friends who came to the apartment considered it to be huge.

Graciela, the property manager, met us at the apartment, showed us around, and gave us all the necessary instructions. The laundry machine had just broken with the previous tenants, but they had a new one up and running for us within 36 hours of our arrival. The owners have a comprehensive folder with information about all the services nearby -- very helpful. And the apartment is particularly well-located for great restaurants within 2-3 blocks. It is a bit of a hike on foot from the apartment to the Gothic/Born/Raval districts and even from the Plaza Cataluna with young children. But taxis are easy to find. We would definitely return to this apartment and appreciated the professionalism of the owners and operators. Muchas Gracias!
