One of Washington Islands oldest farms on record. This Historic 60 acre parcel has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (2 Queen and 3 twin beds, sleeping 7). Laundry on site, fully equipt kitchen, 24X12 south facing sunning deck with outdoor dining overlooking the fields and apple orchard, beautiful lawn and secluded setting. Stone patio, outdoor fire pit and tree fort, making it a perfect home base for vacationing on Washington Island. The great room was constructed with recycled barn lumber in post and beam fashion. Visitors with taste will be impressed. The property is an absolute gem to entertain family, friends and especially children as they can explore the forest, tree house, hike the wooded ridge, ride bikes thru the wooded trails and the engage the large lawn. Wildlife is abundant given the large population of deer, turkeys, pheasants and birds. Buckwild Farm is conveniently located close to the major attractions including School House Beach, the Farm Museum, and Washington Islands Only wine Bar Fiddlers Green and parks. Bring your bikes, suits and snorkel gear and enjoy some relaxing exercise. Read a book or take a nap in the Hammock in the tree. Tell campfire stories while you roast marshmallows over an open fire. Charcoal grills onsite as well. Boating in the summer is also highly recommended as Washington Island provides awesome views of neighboring islands and has hands down the best small mouth bass fishing in the State of Wisconsin. In the Winter, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling will keep you busy--or just sit back and throw another log on the fire and enjoy the serenity!--Email for shorter stays than 7 nights during busy season. Some availability exists, but if you request a 3 night stay and I decline it will hurt my rankings--hence my poor ranking despite my 100% customer feedback:) Rates vary--In the summer season the property is typically rented out by the week foe$1200 but if available I will rent for$200/night plus $100 cleaning fee.

I was raised an 'islander' and find that a trip to Washington Island is a necessity. Some of the best fishing Wisconsin has to offer and so easily accessible by anyone. This property has the oldest standing Log cabin on record and when for sale out of respect for its history I purchased this historic Farm.

Really cool island farmhouse

We really enjoyed our stay. It felt very private and secluded, but we had easy access to everything we wanted to do. The house had some really neat features and the outdoor spaces were awesome.

We so enjoyed the quiet of this charming farm home. It was private, comfortable and well appointed. The deck was a highlight as well as the large yard for playing frisbee.
