About Jim & Gail Shroyer
Jim and Gail Shroyer live in Manhattan, Kansas. They are the proud parents of four grown sons and two adorable granddaughters. Both are emeritus faculty at Kansas State University. Jim was an extension wheat specialist and Gail was a science educator. Jim is a native Oklahoman and Gail is a native Californian, but both consider Estes Park 'home away from home'. They have been bringing their children to camp in Rocky Mountain National Park for over twenty years.

You can hike one of the hundreds of fabulous trails in Rocky Mountain Park, drive the Trail Ridge Road, watch animals, talk to friendly people, shop or eat in 'one of a kind' shops and restaurants, or walk along the river and enjoy the many water works in the center of town.

Excellent vacation home
We enjoyed our stay in late September . The home is exceptionally well equipped, extremely clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the location, as it was close to RMNP, but still serene and quiet. The area by the river is beautiful. We used the gas grill twice, and the kitchen is equipped with everything one might need. We hope to return for another vacation someday. We highly recommend this rental. The owners were also quick to answer any questions.

Weekend in Estes Park
We loved our stay at Mountain Haven! The house is beautiful as is the location. The accommodations were perfect for our families (6 adults and 2 children). It was so nice to sit by the river; and to have visits from a herd of deer and a large bull elk just added to the overall experience! The house is close to town, yet quiet and peaceful. The market down the road was very convenient and easier to access than traveling through town. The location is also great for access to RMNP. The house itself was spotless. I also appreciated all of the communications with Jim and Gail especially right before our arrival when they were traveling - a nice personal touch. Everyone in my family group raved about the house; I definitely recommend staying at Mountain Haven if you are visiting Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Thank you Jim & Gail for sharing your home!
More Than a Beautiful Home
What a delight in Estes Park! This home is truly a beautiful place to stay, but more importantly it is fully appointed with everything you might need. We have had a delightful time visiting the area, and the owners have been most gracious and prompt in the replies to any question questions or requests from the moment we requested the stay. You can’t do better in estes park in location, amenities, or beauty.
Wonderful house and location
Beautifully furnished house with a kitchen equipped with everything you could need. The yard and sitting area by the river are wonderful and we enjoyed fishing in the stream. A beautiful bull elk crossed the river in front of us one evening. It’s a quiet location and conveniently located between town and RMNP. I’d highly recommend this rental and would love to come back.

This wonderful property is exactly as pictured, and the elk came to visit as promised! The house is immaculate and beautifully decorated and appointed to meet any needs. The owners were very gracious, and in constant contact with us to ensure our comfort and safety. We hope to return next year!
