About Linda & Bruce Johnson
We love to be in nature and enjoy the peace and relaxation that comes from staying in the mountains. We have owned and run a business called Eldercare Services for the past 30 years in the SF Bay Area. Linda grew up in San Francisco and Bruce in Minnesota. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren - and a favorite memory for all the kids is getting together with their cousins at the lake house and having fun running around the house on the lawns and getting out on the lake tubing!

We choose this property because of the views - especially lovely waking up in the master bedroom looking out over the trees to the lake. We love the activities at the lake and the safety of being in a gated community. Great access to emergency services - when our mom age 86 had some issues we had help in minutes.
What makes this House unique
If you want to get away and be in the mountains without all the traffic and noise of Lake Tahoe this is the place to come! Most renters love just sitting on the deck for hours - I always do painting craft projects with my grandkids and sometimes they play games out there as well.

Suitability
- wheelchair accessibleThe main floor has one bedroom without a stair case - but the bathroom is not equipped with handicapped supplies. Also, there is an open stair case between the bedroom and the bathroom. It worked well for my frail 85 year old mom - but she didn't use a wheelchair just oxygen.

Large home with plenty of room for guests! Fantastic Sunset Views!
We had a great time! The caretakers had the home ready and were quick to respond with access information and questions that we had regarding the home. We spent a lot of time on the deck with the lounge chairs and table large enough to seat our group. We watched the deer coming and going and the osprey. The steep driveway wasn't a problem as there is room for turning around without needing to back down the entire way. Our only disappointment was a cat odor. We assumed pet free meant no pets in the home. It turns out the LACC won't allow dogs on short term rentals - however someone has clearly had a cat or cats in the home. One member of the group is allergic to cats.. I should have confirmed the policy before renting the home. If cat hair/odor doesn't bother you - this is a great home and won't disappoint.

It was very inviting. The care taker was very helpful. We had a great time fishing, hiking,biking playing games and enjoying the view.

My husband and a few friends stayed in this home with a beautiful lake view for a week in the fall. The area is gorgeous, quiet, and the views are actually as stated in the ad. The house is well decorated but still cozy and comfortable, plenty of room to spread out. At night we watched the stars from the deck and had our dinners. Good walking trails without ever driving anywhere but if you want to explore, Lassen and Shasta are close enough drives to do in 1/2 day. This is a perfect place for families, couples, or small groups. The beach is nearby very clean and fun to play in. The house is well stocked with whatever you might imagine you need, washer and dryer on site. If you want a relaxing, comfortable vacation to recharge your batteries this is it!

what a great place!
My family and I have stayed at this home multiple times, returning summer after summer. My only regret is that we haven't been able to take advantage of a winter vacation yet! The house is very roomy - love that rec room/bedroom downstairs! The deck is a great place to sit over a cocktail and watch the gorgeopus sunsets over Lake Almanor. Highly recommend this place!

We are only 30 minutes from a stunning National Park - Mt. Lassesn - don't miss a visit to this breath taking paradise of wild flowers, flowing creaks and a lovely mountain. Some active sulfur coming from this dormat volcano. Often their is snow up here in July!
