I love San Francisco and sharing my wonderful home with guests visiting our amazing city. Although I grew up in the Midwest, I have spent my adult life living in northern California. I was a teacher in San Francisco for many years. I enjoy travelling the world and love to meet others from all cultures and countries.
Hi Sandy, Great apartment, great city! We had a lovely time here...amazing views and perfect location, close to everything but quiet and peaceful for recuperating after walking up and down those hills!
You are the perfect host...invisible yet available. We will recommend this apartment to anyone coming to San Francisco.
My family of 4 stayed here for a few nights and it worked perfectly for us. The unit (#3) was much larger than I expected - especially considering it's San Francisco. The kitchen was stocked with enough items to get us by. Parking wasn't always guaranteed, but we had no problems finding a spot close by. The neighborhood is quiet and only a 5-10 minute walk to The Castro. My husband found two gyms close by as well. The view from the master bedroom was stunning and even the kitchen had a great view. Great place to stay if you want to be in the city without the noise and traffic of the city.
Better than described. The property is wonderful and in a great location. When we arrived we were greeted by a spotlessly clean and spacious home. An abundance of windows and sky-lights surrounding us in natural light. the 360 degree view drew gasps and left us speechless. The night view eased us to sleep as the speckle of street lights from the quiet hillside neighborhood felt like sleeping among the stars. Street parking was unrestricted and we never had a problem finding a spot nearby. Our host Sandy was a quick email or phone call away. This was one of the best stays I have ever had and will always lead my search by contacting this host on my next Bay Area Visit.
I rented this property for three colleagues from the UK who were in San Francisco for four days of meetings. The apartment was ideal for their requirements -- a low-key, quiet place (with fabulous views). Very comfortable and homey. If you are looking for a modern, fully remodeled apartment, look elsewhere; this property has a lived-in feel and in this respect it's very welcoming and offered a great way to experience San Francisco. Interesting neighborhood. Quiet street. Easy and beautiful walking down the hill to the Castro and Mission in one direction, to Cole Valley, the Haight and the Golden Gate Park in the other. I look forward to renting again and will recommend it to friends and others coming in from out-of-town.
We visit SF occasionally to visit our family and have stayed in various rental properties around the Buena Vista area. This last visit we stayed at Sandy's third floor unit. It is in a quiet neighborhood steps away from puplic transportation. The apartment is spacious, clean and well furnished. The beds were comfortable, the towels thick and the kitchen adequately stocked with essentials. We slept well and had lots of room to entertain our grandson. The unit sits high on a hillside and has a wonderful deck in the back with stunning views of Sutro tower, Twin Peaks, Mission district and the Bay. On our future visits to SF we hope to stay here again.
Wow!! We had such a wonderful time staying at this stunning home. Super comfy living room, well equipped kitchen, charming accents and decor detail, very comfortable beds with plenty of closet storage and room to stretch out. Our 7 and 10 year old enjoyed all the space, the many tv channels, and dining at home instead of every meal out. Our husband and I went completely "ga ga" over the view- holy moly!! Best view I have ever experienced in San Francisco, with a beautiful balcony equipped with a table and chairs for our happy our wine, cheese and crackers. I can't express enough how much we adored the view. The location was far enough away from the hectic part of the city, but still just a breeze down the hill to get back to the action. I highly recommend for a family, or a couple that wants to relax, stretch out and enjoy a view that is an unbeatable. Sandy was super responsive with booking questions, and followed up upon arrival to make sure all was well. Do yourself a favor and book with Sandy for this great home next time you are in SF!! Thanks Sandy, we will be back!!
My son and I went to San Francisco a few weeks ago for a long anticipated vacation. I have always stayed in hotels on vacation, but my friends told me it was time to try something different. This apartment was perfect! The location was convenient to everything and there was always off street parking available. We were even walking distance from many of the sites. The decor is charming, the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the panoramic views from the bedrooms were spectacular. It really is nice to have a kitchen, a living room with a TV, a dining room and washer/dryer. We didn't have to eat out every meal, and my son could stay home and order a pizza and watch the basketball playoffs. The saddest moment was having to leave. I told the owner "don't make me go back to Houston". My dream is to go back to San Francisco and see all the sites we missed...and I would definitely want to stay here again.
At Casa Buena Vista you are right in the heart of world famous San Francisco. Walk out the door and in a few minutes you can be at countless restaurants or quaint shopping streets. The subway will whisk you downtown in 10 minutes, and the nearby streetcar will provide a leisurely ride to the famous Embarcadero, Pier 39, and Fisherman's Wharf.
If you want to travel outside the City by car, the direct highway arteries are close and convenient. Sausalito, Napa Valley, Santa Cruz, and Monterey are all viable day trips.
