About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Bungalow Set On A 1/4 Acre In The Middle Of Everything.

Adorable Stonehenge Cottage is located close to everything (about a 15 min walk to downtown), yet is set on a 1/4 acre of lawn and oaks on a quiet private road. The interior of the home has been professionally decorated with a beautiful blend of antiques, mid-century modern furniture, and comfortable, contemporary linens and accessories, creating a stylish and calming place to get away from it all.

Stonehenge Cottage has two light-filled bedrooms and sleeps four; the master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom can be outfitted with a pair of twins or a king (please request the king if you need it). Down-and-linen duvets, luxurious sheets, and lots of pillows tempt you to take that afternoon nap. The full bath has a shower/tub combination, tile flooring, and thick Egyptian cotton towels.

The newly-refurbished kitchen has everything you will need to cook a gourmet meal or just chill with a great cup of coffee at the antique pine kitchen table. Every detail has been thought of and provided.

The living room has a flat-screen smart TV, cable, smart DVD/Blu Ray player, and surround sound. Stream Pandora through the TV, mix a cocktail at the bar, and relax in vintage mid-century modern comfort. Plenty of room for two couples or a small family to spread out and relax.During three seasons and many sunny winter days, take your dining or relaxing out to the screened porch, which enjoys winter mountain views, great sun, and perfect breezes. Or make the most of those warm evenings, hanging out in the big private yard with firepit and grill.

WiFi throughout.

Beautifully decorated little cottage, ideal for a romantic getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I absolutely loved this cottage. It was perfect for our weekend away. Very close to downtown and only 20 minutes from all the vineyards. Holly was extremely communicative and helpful, full of recommendations! The cottage is very well decorated and the linens and towels are very good quality. My one call-out is that the master bed sags a bit to the center but other than that this is a perfect place. I will definitely consider it again if we come back out this way.

quaint cottage in great location

  • 5 of 5

Nicely appointed cottage from great soaps & lotions to fresh flowers & stocked with all the essentials- coffee, milk, eggs & even a bottle of wine. The location was within walking distance of wonderful restaurants. Must try Tavola - incredible! Thank you Holly for always being available to answer any questions. We won't hesitate to return!!

Cozy Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for ten days in Stonehenge Cottage as a family of three, along with our two dogs. We were right around the corner from Belmont Park, perfect for runs and walking the pooches, and Brown's fried chicken (for after those runs :-). We were about five minutes from Wegman's, the downtown mall, and a wide selection of restaurants. The cottage is cozy, well-maintained and furnished. I'd recommend and revisit the next time I'm in Cville.

Perfect house with porch and yard

  • 5 of 5

This is a tastefully renovated and furnished small home in a quiet neighborhood of Charlottesville. There was plenty of good seating ( a pet peeve of mine) for all four of us to relax after 4 long days of work and some nice goodies in the fridge left by Holly. Bang for your buck this is a great buy.

Cute cottage!

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived, lights had been left on, and pumpkins and mums were on the porch--very welcoming. Holly had left us a note and snacks in the fridge. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of towels.

It's very close to the downtown mall.

I'd stay there again.

Car: recommended

Stonehenge Cottage is centrally located to everything you came to Charlottesville to do. Start your day with an amazing latte from either The Farm or La Taza, both less than a mile walk away in downtown Belmont. Hang out with the kids at Belmont Park, a large, beautiful park with incredible mountain views just two blocks from Stonehenge Cottage. Check out the gardens and the home of our highly inventive third President Thomas Jefferson- Monticello is just a quick five-minute drive away. The Saunders Trail at Monticello offers miles of gorgeously scenic hiking trails, both groomed and more wild, for those looking to get some exercise and air while in town. Hit the wineries: Pippin Hill Farm, Trump Vineyard, and King Family Vineyard are all about a 10-15 min drive away. Walk less than a mile to eat at the amazing restaurants on the downtown mall (we love The C&O, Ten, and Hamilton's) and in vibrant downtown Belmont (Tavola, The Local, and Mas all compete with the best dining spots Charlottesville has to offer). Hop on the free trolley to tour gorgeous UVA Grounds and the restaurants and shops of The Corner District.
