About Sharon George

We live in Paso Robles and just love this town and the surrounding central coast cities. Buying and restoring Sixteen Olives gives us the opportunity to share our community with others. We truly hope you will enjoy every moment of your stay and come back and visit often.

Sharon George purchased this house in 2013

Why Sharon George chose Paso Robles

We just fell in love with this classic 1924 California Craftsman Bungalow sitting on a quiet corner with the inviting front porch and just a few short blocks from downtown.

What makes this house unique

Location on a shaded corner lot, ambiance, front porch, many original architectural details intact including hardwood( albeit squeaky) floors , built-ins, crown molding and more.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Sharon was a fantastic host. When she met us to give us the keys she was extremely accommodating with our hectic timing. The house was beautiful. It had everything one could need to stay there for an extended trip, without being cluttered or messy. The house was in lovely condition. The beds were extremely comfortable. This is the standard I wish for all rentals when I travel.

Comfy, Cozy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

"16 Olives" was the perfect spot for a few days in the Paso wine country.

Sharon has paid attention to all the details - good knives and pans in the kitchen, a cozy gas fireplace, plenty of reading lamps, comfortable beds. Plenty of room for 2 couples.

A short 6-block walk to the town square and a short drive to plenty of wineries. Lots of restaurants in town, for all budgets, but we enjoyed cooking in and drinking some of the wine we had purchased during the day. Also, highly recommend a day in Cambria, and a walk along the cliffs above the beach on the sceninc boardwalk, especially on a sunny day. Would definitely return !

Owner's Response: Enjoyed having you stay and so pleased you were able to have a great stay in spite of the inclement weather! You were one of the few this winter able to enjoy the fireplace. Look forward to your return visit.

Beautiful, quaint cottage of fun!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location for our annual girls' weekend--all the college ladies ditching the husbands and families--for some fun. This year's EST FEST was held in this dream locale for hiking, wine tasting, and catching up on life and good food. Thanks so much!

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend with another couple and had a wonderful time. Sharon met us early so we could get settled, the house was immaculate and we felt at home immediately. Our favorite part was being within walking distance of shops and restaurants. No need for a car or Uber! Super clean and updated...a lovely craftsman home.

This house was perfect for a weekend of wine tasting for two couples. It is easy walking distance to downtown restaurants. We cooked in one night and the kitchen is well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay in Paso Robles

  • 5 of 5

Girls' weekend in Paso Robles. The little house was perfect for our stay. We were able to cook in and everyone in the party had a comfortable bed to sleep in. Perfect location for getting around downtown Paso and access to wineries was ideal. Recommend this vacation rental to all. Sharon was the perfect hostess.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed

  • 4 of 5

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Sharon's place. Love the location, quiet neighborhood, access. The house is well kept, greeted by Sharon with a bottle of wine and chocolates! (those didn't last long). Communications with Sharon were quick and easy. Bathrooms are VERY clean and well stocked, as is the kitchen. No dishwasher, so don't fall behind! :) Keurig coffee maker complete with all the coffees and teas you need - nice touch. Nice large dining room table and comfortable living room to enjoy meals and lively discussions with your friends and family. This is our go-to house when we come to Paso, we'll be back. It's a 5 star, except for the squeaky floors, which are only a problem at night and in the morning when you don't want to wake up anyone. Thank you Sharon for hosting us again!
