Downtown Flagstaff Bungalow - 5 minute walk to downtown

This historic remodeled home is located within walking distance to dozens of restaurants and bars as well as retail shopping. There are two bedrooms,(queen sofa sleeper in living room) one bathroom, a laundry room, and a full kitchen. The counters are granite with solid maple cabinets. The front yard is fenced with a cute custom fence that resembles a flowing river, with a table and chairs for taking in the essence of the town. The backyard has a six foot cedar fence that creates a lot of privacy for the landscaped yard. A large hot tub sits in the corner and there is a large paver area in the back and a small patch of grass. The house was built in 1915 as part of the original town site.

Comfortable home base for visiting Grand Canyon

The listing is accurate. The check-in process was easy and we were welcomed with some snacks. The host was responsive, and has thought of everything making us feel right at home. They provided many plastic containers, a cooler and cold packs in the freezer that helped us pack a picnic lunch for our outings. That really made a difference for us especially when traveling with children. The kitchen was well stocked from cookware, bakeware to small appliances, basic spices and condiments. I liked the instant hot water dispenser. Maybe provide scissors. We enjoyed the hot tub, sitting out watching the flurries come down. The house was cozy, warm and inviting. It worked out very well for our family vacation. We would stay here again if visiting northern AZ.

Absolute Perfection

We can’t say enough great things about this property. It was a perfect location to access all of our favorite downtown restaurants. The house was spotless clean, and simply adorable. We were in Flagstaff visiting our NAU student. We always bring our dog, because let’s be real, that’s who our son really wants to see! This house was perfect for our energetic dog. We always try to stay close to the dog park, but this house has such an amazing backyard that we didn’t even need to go to the dog park. The house is decorated just right…not cluttered, but not oddly empty. Everything we could possibly need was provided. We have stayed at several homes in Flagstaff ….this house, without a doubt, is our favorite. We will return for certain! Thank you for your hospitality and home! Made for the perfect Easter weekend with our son!

Cute Flagstaff cottage

Great stay. It’s was perfect for three adults. Very comfortable and cozy. Nice sized kitchen and laundry room. Plenty of clean towels. It is close to some restaurants and shops. But a little further than we were willing to walk in inclimate weather. It’s was cold, cloudy and snowy during most of our time in Flagstaff

Spring Skiing Stay

Excellent location, walked to everything, bars, dining, and shops. 25 min drive to Snowbowl. Off street parking and very convenient and well maintained hot tub in back yard that made the sore leg muscles feel better after a full day of skiing. House is well maintained, appliances and utensils are all usable and appropriate. We cooked some meals, used the stove, coffee maker, and toaster, all in good condition. Bedrooms get warm at night with doors closed, opened windows as owner suggested, worked well to maintain a cool sleep-able temperature. This is the only property I've ever rebooked and stayed at, won't hesitate to do so again.

Another great stay at the birch house

We love this place! This is our fifth year spending a week here in the winter with our dogs. The location is so perfect, central - close to downtown, the dog park, FUTS trails, etc. But also a short drive to many other wonderful hikes. The house itself is so comfortable and they continue to make improvements as needed. We especially love the big fenced yard for the dogs and the hot tub to soak in after hiking. We can't wait for next year's stay. Thanks to Mandi and the team who keep it sparkling clean and are always available if you need anything.

I was born and raised in flagstaff, I grew up in a house a mile from this location and attended Flagstaff High School. My wife and I lived in this home for 8 years and would still be in it if our family wasn't growing so fast.

Why they chose this property

Location! This house may be smaller than others, but the draw for us is that it is so close to all the excitement and charm of downtown. We have been so lucky to have lived in this home for as long as we did.

What makes this property unique

What I enjoy most about the house is the ability to sit and look out the giant picture window in the front of the house and watch people walking by, to see the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood and to be able to relax in the glow of the sun.
The backyard warms up early in the day and sometimes I would grab a cup of coffee and sit in the sun warming myself from both the inside and out.
Within minutes we are able to walk downtown and stroll through heritage square, doing some window shopping along the way, and then grab a bite to eat or listen to some music at one of the bars.
It's also so nice to not have to drive downtown, parking is always a hassle, and sometimes you can't park as close as our house to where your going, so for us it is great to just walk everywhere.
