About Suzan fisk

Stephen was brought up in the Oneonta, NY area. He was employed for 20+ years by the D&H Railroad, then CP Rail. He is now a rail executive with Fingerlakes Rail and a rail consultant.

Suzan was raised in Northern NJ, taught art for 30 years in upstate NY. In retirement I now do volunteer work, manage our properties and am a docent at The Hyde Collection.

Suzan fisk purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Suzan fisk chose Capital Saratoga

I spent every summer here at Efner Lake. My parents purchased our cabin when I was a child. Our cabin is our summer home. Stephen & I purchased the new property as an investment.

What makes this cabin unique

This property offers a quiet, beautiful place to relax and enjoy Adirondacks. It's the best of both worlds: Varied activities within a 30 minute or less drive, but you return to the peace, the incredible air and water of the cabin site.

The cabin itself has been described by previous guests as 'Adirondack chic'. The knotty pine paneling decorated with original paintings is cozy. There is plenty of space, both inside and outside for gathering the family or group together or going your own way for a walk, a swim, a nap or whatever makes you relaxed.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at The Little Camp! Everything we needed to cook a huge feast and such a comfortable place to enjoy cold weather and woods. Our two dogs LOVED their stay too!

Thank you!

Everything you need.

  • 5 of 5

This rental home was very convenient, everything you need, (cooking needs, bed, bath, outdoor fun, etc) was there and ready to use. My family and I felt very relaxed and well equipped with everything we needed as if we were at our own home. We recommend this home to anyone looking for a clean, and comfortable stay .

My husband and I spent 2 weeks at little camp and loved it.

  • 5 of 5

The house is spacious, clean, and has every thing you need. Beds super comfortable that we had a difficult time getting out of bed. Slept late most mornings since it is so peaceful and quiet. Suzan and Steve live across the yard but were not intrusive. Suzan met us on arrival with the mist delicious banana cake that I hid from my husband. She even gave me the recipe. One evening I had pressed the wrong button on the TV remote and couldn't get it on . well Steve was over in a flash to save the day. The lake is beautiful and I kayaked for the first time. We loved our stay.

Wonderful, Quiet Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Spent 4th of July week in a wonderful fully equipped cabin, though cabin does not correctly describe this property. Secluded, quiet yet close to Saratoga Springs and Lake George for those who need a change of pace. Suzan and Stephen were wonderful hosts who made us feel comfortable from the start. Fully equipped house, especially for those who love to cook, plus kayaks, canoes, rowboats for those inclined to enjoy the lake-fishing or just the solitude of being on the water. Would definitely put this cabin on the "must return to" list!

Cute Little Cabin

  • 5 of 5

I enjoyed a quiet weekend at Little Cabin and had a great time. The owner met me at the house with a box of pastries and to give me a few pointers before enjoying my stay. The beds are cozy, the kitchen was stocked, no complaints whatsoever and you can rent Little Cabin with confidence.

'The Little Camp' is located on a small, private lake. There is no public access to the lake; only owners and guests. There are only 25 - 30 cabins on the entire lake. Here guests will enjoy privacy and seclusion with few neighbors nearby. Within a 20 minute drive guests will find a wide range of activities for all ages. Six Flags Great Escape is 25 minutes away as are several water parks, white water rafting, miniature golf courses, para sailing and various speed water sports on Lake George.

Outlet shopping is fantastic with a grouping of several outlet and factory store plazas in the 'Million Dollar Half Mile'.

Visitors interested in history might enjoy The Adirondack Museum at Blue Mt. Lake (about 45 minutes), Fort Ticonderoga or Fort William Henry.

The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls is a gem for art lovers. The Hyde House, it's architecture and the art collection housed within is absolutely a must see. Rembrandt, Picasso, Eakins and Ingres to name a few of the masters hanging at The Hyde. Rotating exhibitions have included Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keefe in recent years. Children's activities in the art studio are coordinated with museum exhibitions. Docent guided tours available.

In the Saratoga Springs area guests can enjoy thoroughbred racing and the Racino. The Saratoga Performing Arts Center is the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the NYC Ballet as well as The Freihofer Jazz Festival and rock concerts. Traditionally, people came to the Saratoga area for the health benefits of the mineral waters which can still be sampled at various well springs throughout the National Park and in town. Shopping in the charming Victorian Saratoga downtown with it's eclectic boutiques guests can find unusual and one of a kind items. Relax in Congress Park or take a ride on the antique carousel. Explore Saratoga Battlefield for some history. The National Car Museum is a visit to vehicles of the past. The National Museum of Dance is beautiful and interesting. Dining in Saratoga Springs is excellent. From fine dining to BBQ, Saratoga offers foodies a wide range of culinary experiences.
