About Suzan fisk

Stephen was brought up in the Oneonta, NY area. He was employed for 20+ years by the D&H Railroad, then CP Rail. He is now a rail executive with Fingerlakes Rail and a rail consultant.

Suzan was raised in Northern NJ, taught art for 30 years in upstate NY. In retirement I now do volunteer work, manage our properties and am a docent at The Hyde Collection.

Suzan fisk purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Suzan fisk chose Corinth

I spent every summer here at Efner Lake. My parents purchased our cabin when I was a child. Our cabin is our summer home. Stephen & I purchased the new property as an investment.

What makes this cabin unique

This property offers a quiet, beautiful place to relax and enjoy Adirondacks. It's the best of both worlds: Varied activities within a 30 minute or less drive, but you return to the peace, the incredible air and water of the cabin site.

The cabin itself has been described by previous guests as 'Adirondack chic'. The knotty pine paneling decorated with original paintings is cozy. There is plenty of space, both inside and outside for gathering the family or group together or going your own way for a walk, a swim, a nap or whatever makes you relaxed.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at The Little Camp! Everything we needed to cook a huge feast and such a comfortable place to enjoy cold weather and woods. Our two dogs LOVED their stay too!

Thank you!

Nice getaway for the weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time visiting the little camp! The lake was serene and we used the kayaks every day. The owners were receptive to our needs and responded with positivity to our feedback. We look forward to staying in the future.

Great venue with friendly hosts and bonus amenities

  • 4 of 5

Spent the weekend with group of friends at the Fisk cabin. We were greeted at the cabin and given a nice orientation to the cabin and property. Secluded lake is beautiful and it’s An added bonus to use the boats to tool around the lake and to use the fire pit. We were going to attend the Travers horse race in Saratoga but we enjoyed our time at the cabin we never left and just watched the race on TV. Only drawback was the proximity of other cabins that were a little closer than I had expected. Overall a great experience - thanks!

Perfect Place to Getaway and Relax

  • 5 of 5

I wish I could give the little camp six stars, Suzan and Steve have made this the perfect place to getaway and relax. The house truly does come with every possible thing you could need, just add food. My friends and I took full advantage of the beautiful lake and ample room in the yard for activities. We look forward to returning in the future!

Quiet Cabin on Efner Lake

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cabin for a weekend in June and found the location exactly what we needed! Our stay was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Suzan was a fantastic hostess and the cabin was fully stocked with all the essentials. Efner Lake is beautiful and can not be described in words. There is a very nice, quaint privately shared beach that was perfect and a wonderful dock to fish off of. Many times, we were the only people kayaking on the lake, very peaceful. We will be back!

Here guests will enjoy privacy and seclusion with few neighbors nearby. Within a 20 minute drive guests will find a wide range of activities for all ages. Six Flags Great Escape is 25 minutes away as are several water parks, white water rafting, miniature golf courses, para sailing and various speed water sports on Lake George.

Outlet shopping is fantastic with a grouping of several outlet and factory store plazas in the 'Million Dollar Half Mile'.

Visitors interested in history might enjoy The Adirondack Museum at Blue Mt. Lake (about 45 minutes), Fort Ticonderoga or Fort William Henry.

The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls is a gem for art lovers. The Hyde House, it's architecture and the art collection housed within is absolutely a must see. Rembrandt, Picasso, Eakins and Ingres to name a few of the masters hanging at The Hyde. Rotating exhibitions have included Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keefe in recent years. Children's activities in the art studio are coordinated with museum exhibitions. Docent guided tours available.

In the Saratoga Springs area guests can enjoy thoroughbred racing and the Racino.
