About Damon Decker and Marcie Steele
I've lived in Denver for most of my life and Damon came to attend college 20+ years ago and never left. Clearly we both love this city! We especially love living in such a hip, urban neighborhood like Lohi. We are foodies who enjoy the local restaurants and bars and we love that we can walk just about anywhere we need to go. We absolutely love our house and our guesthouse. It's often referred to as our "private little Garden of Eden" by our guests and we agree. We love hosting people in our guesthouse, and look forward to meeting travelers and helping them feel as comfortable and at home as possible while in Denver. We're a great resource for where to eat, who has the best happy hour, or what to do and see in Denver. We also love traveling and getting to know the people from all over the world.
Damon Decker and Marcie Steele purchased this Guest House in 2010
Why Damon Decker and Marcie Steele chose Highland
The guesthouse was originally built in late 1800's as stables for horses and carriages in the neighborhood. It's located on a 'carriage lot', meaning that it's tucked away in the center of the block. It was later converted to garages, and now we've renovated it into a very special place for our guests. The original brick walls remain, but everything else is new. You'll never know that this used to be anything other than the amazing space it is now, but knowing the history makes it even more fun!
What makes this Guest House unique
The Highlands/Lohi area is a great urban neighborhood with many popular destinations within walking distance. There are GREAT restaurants for foodies and nationally ranked bars for those seeking fun nightlife. We're a 10 minute walk from the Platte River Trail and Confluence Park , which is a great place for seeing some of Denver's beautiful outdoors.

Was a great place to stay. Quiet and very clean. And could walk to everything I wanted or needed to do. Hope to stay again next trip.
Our favorite VRBO ever! Beautiful walkable neighborhood. Coolest property!
Our "go-too" when visiting the Denver area. No better location than the Potter Highlands Historic District. Walk the gorgeous neighborhood to wonderful restaurants and coffee shops. The house is the coolest place we have ever stayed.
I’ve stopped counting how many times we’ve stayed at the wonderful Bryant St. guesthouse! We love it
Damon, Marcie and Allison, Thank you again for a perfect place to stay while in Denver.
Thanks so much Pete, we always look forward to and enjoy hosting you. Hope to see you again soon!
Clean and everything you require for a relaxing short stay. Beats the corporate cabbage hotel rooms hands down.
Really great apartment, very well appointed, everything you need. quiet and in a great neighbourhood.
Damon & Marcie were super communicative and the whole process was professional yet friendly.
Would definitely stay here again. highly recommend
We loved the guesthouse! We felt right st home as soon as we walked in the door. We loved the central location. We went to Golden, Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder, Breckenridge, Red Rocks, Fort Collins, and Coors Field for a baseball game. We loved coming home every night to our cozy comfy guesthouse. Bed was very comfortable, shower had great pressure and was hot! We did our laundry so didn’t come home with a dirty suitcase full of clothes. Highly recommend this VRBO
Foodies will love the location, there are several excellent restaurants within walking distance.
