About Dan and Carolyn Daneker
We reside in southeastern PA and use our cabin as a family get away. This is a family treasure that we want to share. When we decided to rent the cabin out we wanted to provide others with a get away that isn't going to break their bank and to help cover our costs.
Dan and Carolyn Daneker purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Dan and Carolyn Daneker chose White Haven
We purchased this property in 2005 and put a lot of heart into it. It has been completely gutted and renovated. Please be respectful of the property and the surrounding nature.

Nice place for a quiet getaway. The deer literally come right up to you.
Great place to stay we would book again!
It was a nice enjoyable place I love that the deer come right up to the deck you could just about pet them and the fact that its pet freindly is important to me.
Great like last year
Great place, sorry I had problems with placing the key back.
Our girls getaway place
Myself and three friends stayed here for our second time. It’s just the perfect place to get away. We already booked our upcoming third trip. I love it here.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Acorn Cottage. We especially loved all the deer in the neighborhood. We spent a day hiking around Hickory Run State Park which gave us beautiful views of the fall foliage. We also visited the historic town Jim Thorpe and took a ride on the Lehigh Gorge scenic railway. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge.
This area is known for white water rafting. There are dam releases most weekends. Jim Thorpe is a nearby town with tourist attractions. Lehigh Gorge State Park and Hickory Run State Park are very close with sight seeing, 4-wheeling, hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming and more. The closest ski resort is Jack Frost. Pocono Downs is a racino along with Mount Airy Resort Casino. Camelback is a 30 minute drive for both winter and summer activities.
