The Blackberry Preserve welcomes you with true mountain cabin feel, complete with vaulted ceilings and skylights throughout, bringing the outdoors in. All the modern conveniences of home can be found in this high country retreat. Upon arrival you're greeted by the stacked stone wood-burning fireplace, three comfortable bedrooms: master with a king sized bed & on-suite, satellite TV. A second queen bedroom with big screen TV, and a third bedroom with queen sized bed; the two queen bedrooms have a bathroom easily accessible to both. The cozy loft easily sleeps 6 with queen sized bed and two twin beds. Our spacious living area offers a smart TV, also satellite equipped. Enjoy all the comforts of home while getting away from it all in one of the most scenic areas of North Carolina. Stay connected with Wi-Fi internet access, prepare meals in the well equipped kitchen or on the gas grill & take advantage of the washer & dryer. Outdoors is as comfortable and welcoming as the indoors, relax on one of the two decks or covered porches or at our fire pit.

Great house for a multi-generational family

The property was great. The kids stayed in the loft and the adults all had their own room in the main living space. The kitchen and house were well equipped. We loved the proximity to Blowing Rock and Boone. The kids especially loved walking down to check out the goats in the neighboring farm. Thanks for being great hosts.

Wonderful space

We loved how this location was tucked away and private. Everything was available in the house and very clean. The kids had a great time playing outside and moms all got to read books while looking at the stars. This property is in close proximity to blowing rock and Happy Valley Filling station. What a wonderful gem! Can’t wait to stay again!

Perfect place for a Blowing Rock getaway

This was our second stay at this property, and it’s simply perfect for our needs. The property is lovely and configured just right for us. We love the stacked fireplace and thoroughly enjoy the spacious decks out back. The accommodations and accoutrements provide everything we need and more. The property is so accessible to Hwy 321 and downtown Blowing Rock, and yet it feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We’re already planning our next visit!

Blackberry Preserve is owned by four friends, one is a NC native and Appalachian State University Alumni, the other 3 came to NC by choice and fell in love with the NC high country.

Why they chose this property

Out of our love for the NC Mountain High Country came a search for the perfect mountain getaway to share. The Blackberry Preserve is a blessing to us and dream come true. In this home traditional cabin feel intersects with modern convenience and the perfect location. Nestled among tall trees and Rhododendron our cabin's private lot feels secluded, yet it's close to all the best the NC High Country has to offer. We instantly fell in love with this cabin, the area surrounding it and the people who so warmly welcomed us to Blackberry. We want visitors to the Blackberry Preserve to find peace and solitude among the natural beauty that surrounds our mountain retreat. Our sincere hope is that your stay will serve to refresh and renew your spirit.
