This log cabin is located 2 miles west of Bailey on the Platte River. It has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed, one and a half bathrooms, living room, dining room and a beautiful sunroom with a cathedral ceiling. The kitchen has been remodeled and includes all dishes and cooking necessities, even some spices. The sunroom looks out to the beautiful Platte River where you can fish, tube or just sit in the swing and enjoy the view. We have lots of hummingbirds to entertain you as well.

Wonderful stay. It was as advertised.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Portice cabin. Visited many memorable places from there. Loved Evergreen.
So glad you guys enjoyed yourselves. You were the best renters ever!
Such a beautiful cabin. Perfect location. The sound of the river out back is heaven and all the hummingbirds we got to see were so beautiful. Thanks Portice family for sharing your wonderful piece of heaven on earth. We will be back! 😊
Thank you. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We spend a lot of time at the cabin as well enjoy every minute.
Cute cabin, serene river location
We enjoyed the simplicity of this Cabin. It served as a home base to relax while we made day trips to various locations.
Cozy, rustic little cabin with a beautiful location next to the river.
Great location, loved seeing all the hummingbirds, the peacefulness you find sitting out by the river. Would definitely return to this place.
Thank you so much! We are very glad you enjoyed our home.
Our stay was very relaxing and felt a lot like being at home (except without 117 degree heat!).
This was our first family vacation in about 8 years so you can imagine it was really needed! The cabin was well appointed and very comfortable. There was lots of natural sunlight and yet the cabin was nicely nestled in the trees and having the creek flowing behind it was just a dream. There is something so relaxing about the sound of running water! We brought our 140 lb Great Dane, Bailey, with us and she had a blast as well - thanks so much to the Portice family for allowing us to bring this very important member of our family too!
The cabin was very spacious and the furniture comfortable. And while we really enjoy being outside it was also nice to watch a TV show or two on DirectTV. My only complaint ( and this is indeed a minor thing) was the internet. My job requires me to stay plugged in and be able to monitor emails and make the occasional response, even on vacation. I think the previous guests had used the data allotment for the month, as the on-sight internet was very slow. Normally this would not be a problem except my cell coverage with Verizon was not very good where we were and I could not access my personal data either. For most people I think this might even be a plus as they have a ready excuse for staying un-plugged (which is why most of us go on vacation in the first place)! Aside from that, you really can't go wrong in staying here.
Would I come back and vacation here again? Oh , yes! Actually, I think it would be a blast to be here in the winter too. My sincere thanks to the Portice family for sharing such a wonderful place with the rest of us, as this is a true gem.
Happily we have replaced out internet provider and now have very fast internet and unlimited data. If your phone is equipped with Wi-Fi calling you can use it for that as well and receive excellent cell service.
Bailey, Cozy Cabin
The cabin was as described. Nice and right on the river and only 2 miles from Bailey. Lots of hummingbirds, a large visit from a fox and a huge deer and plenty of rabbits and chipmunks Lots of hiking to drive to, but nothing to hike to directly from the cabin. We asked if it was quiet, and was told that it was pretty quiet. However, you can see & hear traffic on Rt 285 which is a very busy highway and only about 200-300 yards from the cabin. You can not walk on the road [Rt 285] and occasionally traffic was backed up and stopped. We did enjoy our stay.
Our cabin is completely surrounded by 50ft plus pine trees which make it all but invisible from the road. There is some traffic noise but I would like to note that the reviewer was here over the 4th of July weekend which is especially busy in the mountains. It is easy to ignore the road and instead listen to the river. Unfortunately you can not walk along the highway here but we are within a 5 minute drive of many hiking trails.
