Peace And Serenity With Mountain Views On An Organic Cattle Ranch

Bedrooms 6
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

6 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Amidst An Organic Cattle Ranch Surrounded By Mountains

The West Bunkhouse is a quaint two story cabin-like house nestled between an expansive front lawn and a beautiful hillside on the picturesque B Bar Ranch. The Bunkhouse will easily accommodate 8-9 people. It has a full kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and four bedrooms downstairs and a living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms upstairs. Two of the downstairs bedrooms are furnished with one double bed, a third with one twin bed and the fourth with a king bed. Of the two upstairs bedrooms one has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds.

The kitchen is fully furnished with all the basics and there is a grill out back.

The ranch is not a guest dude ranch and does not offer such activities, but you can fill your days with fly fishing on the nearby Yellowstone River, hiking the numerous trails nearby, cross-country skiing on our 20 plus kilometers of groomed ski trails, or just relaxing and taking in the views on the Bunkhouse's front porch. Although there is no satellite or cable TV, there is free WiFi and we are approximately 40 minutes from the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park .

If the West Bunkhouse is more than you're looking for or need, call us about our Reed Cabin (vrbo #854003) or our West Wing (vrbo #990898).

In the winter we also offer a backcountry ski-in platform tent and cabin if you're not quite ready for a snow cave or pitching your own tent in the snow.

Nice comfortable house in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at the West Bunk House on the B Bar Ranch and I would have to say that it was the highlight of our trip to Yellowstone. It was so peaceful and relaxing to come back from a day at Yellowstone to this ranch. We even decided to not go to the park our last day and just spend some much needed down time at the ranch. The property was clean, comfortable, and has plenty of rooms for a bigger family. My kids also really enjoyed playing with the two golden retriever ranch dogs that would come visit up first thing in the morning, and later on until it was time for them to go home before sunset.

Amazing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The West Bunkhouse was an amazing place to stay while we visited Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons and Bozeman. We were a group of 8 people and the bunkhouse had a perfect layout for us. The kitchen table sat 8 people very comfortably. The bathroom layout was perfect. The sinks, toilets and shower were all separate so getting ready in the morning was easy. The ranch was beautiful and the staff was very helpful. Trina gave us directions so we very able to see the grizzly bears from a safe distance. Don't forget binoculars like we did. If we go back to the area, the B Bar would be our first choice to stay.

Beautiful property in stunning setting

  • 5 of 5

The bunkhouse B Bar Ranch is not the most posh accommodations around, certainly. But it certainly met the needs of our family of 6 and was plenty comfortable. The valley in which it's set is absolutely stunning. You really don't need to go to Yellowstone. This is your own smaller Yellowstone. All of the animals (minus bison and pronghorn I'm told) make it over the single ridge that separates the ranch from Yellowstone NP, so you'll see plenty of wildlife. There are a number of trails and several stunning peaks within the confines of the ranch waiting for you to explore. Really a tremendous opportunity to get your own, private slice of Yellowstone NP. Our family would like to come back as son as possible.

Well worth the visit

Our family stayed 2 nights in West Bunkhouse and it was the highlight of our trip. We saw deer, moose and bear. The inside of the cabin was very clean and had updated appliances. The staff was very hospitable!
