About Steve Passey
We love the beauty of the New River Gorge, the plethora of outdoor adventure choices in the area, and hiking the miles of trails. We most enjoy bringing our three little girls here for 'woods walking'.
Steve Passey purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Steve Passey chose Fayetteville
We named this property after a nearby trail, the Kaymoor Trail. The two parts of the trail together make for a vigorous hike - especially if you choose to take the 810 steps to the bottom of the mine (and then have to take that same 810 steps back up!). As far as the location of the home, we've visited the area a number of times and love the small town of Fayetteville, white water rafting, zip-lining, and especially hiking - the fact that we can go for a hike by walking out our front door and be at an NPS trail is the best! This house is great for 2 families, and this property is close to the white water rafting and zip-lining. And if jumping off a bridge is your thing, or if you want to just watch the other crazy people, you'll get a great view from the neighborhood overlook. Enjoy the quite back yard, grill out, and eat on the spacious back deck. *** PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HOT TUB IS SHUT DOWN FROM THE END OF DECEMER THROUGH LATE APRIL AND FIREPLACE IS TURNED OFF FROM LATE APRIL THROUGH LATE SEPTEMBER****
What makes this Cabin unique
Hiking trails in the neighborhood, designed for two families (basement to be finished, but we don't know when yet). Short drive to white water rafting & zip-lining. Watch bridge day from the neighborhood. I can't wait to sit on the front porch and enjoy the nature and feeling like I'm in a treehouse. I love to cook, so I'm working on getting all those little things to make the kitchen highly functional when you're away from yours. Haven't figured out how to get the kitchen to clean itself though. The furniture is an eclectic mix. Some of the furniture is antique, and some we've made reusing wood palates - we hope you'll enjoy the rustic touches.
Pool / Spa
Great cabin, great location.
The cabin is a perfect size for 2 families, and is located close to many WV activities.
Perfect place for ladies reunion - great location.
Location offers trails and overlook of bridge that is not public. Plenty of space with front porch rockers and back patio table and chairs and grill.
Plenty of bedroom and bathroom space for us to utilize. Balancing air conditioning upstairs was difficult although there was a ceiling fan in one bedroom and standup fan in bunk room. Close
to bridge, trails, Restaurants, shopping, grocery store, Fayetteville downtown and Hawk’s nest. Perfect for our group of 5.
Outstanding place and the hosts were very responsive to communication
Loved it and will recommend
Peaceful location; comfortable setting; good setup for sleeping/relaxing/eating; hot tub/fire fun
See previous response....I would add that it was a good location for all our activities...hiking, boating, whitewater rafting, and enjoying family
Beautiful Home/Great Location
We enjoyed staying at Kaymoor. Hiking trails are near by, close to town but yet quiet and serene.
Spacious, clean, close to adventures on the gorge, great for family memories
The neighborhood is beautiful and the house is spacious, clean, and has space for everyone. We enjoyed using the spacious kitchen, large bathrooms, taking a break in the hot tub, and cooking smores in the fire pit. The neighborhood is great for running and has a beautiful outlook of the New River Gorge Bridge! We would definitely stay again!
