Downstairs master king bedroom with new walk-in shower, a second master bedroom with king bed or twin beds upstairs with full bath, a third queen bedroom upstairs with full ensuite bathroom and a fourth very private and spacious queen bedroom with full bath, a sitting room and room to sleep more. Gourmet chef's kitchen with 6 burner stainless steel Viking stove/oven, microwave/convection over, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen has all the pots and utensils a cook could want. There is a work island with sink, sitting area and table for 6. Formal dining room for 10. Large L shaped living room and a wall of windows and doors looking out to the terrace and pool beyond. Family/workout room with tv, mirrored wall, weights, pool table and air hockey table. In addition there is a huge barn/garage with ping pong, and basketball hoop. This is a perfect space for families, artists, photographers, filmmakers, sculptors, and woodworkers. The home is a much sort after private location for entertaining and relaxation. In addition, there is an in-ground trampoline, adjacent paths for strolling and jogging and perennial gardens with room to plant. The open vista of pool and lawn is totally unique and a perfect oasis for entertaining and relaxing.

Family vacation with 4 month old

The house is in a great location with a huge, private property that was fully fenced for our dog to enjoy while we lounged by the pool. Very relaxing, quiet, and spacious.

Great House in great location

House/property was as advertised, a really great accommodation with lots to offer for all ages. Good convenient location in prestigious Southampton. Spacious and comfortable. We had a truly phenomenal time celebrating here with our entire family.

Great location and house

Everything about our stay at this beautiful home was perfect. The location is private and serene. The house was beautiful, spacious and clean. The pool was perfect and relaxing. Lastly, the host was very helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for peace and quiet, yet within a 5 minute drive to all there is to do in Southampton. Thanks for having us.

We very much enjoyed our time at Emilie’s home which was the perfect place for our family. We love the informality of the home, the bright living room, and the private grounds. We also enjoyed the heated pool. Emilie was a pleasure to deal with. We hope to return.

I lived and worked in NYC for many years before moving to Southampton full time. I was President of Wathne Limited, a fashion accessories company that had the Ralph Lauren Handbag license. I studied French and Spanish and attended the Sorbonne. I received my Ph.D. from CUNY Graduate Center. I worked as a consultant for a number of American engineering firms in North Africa and Mexico. I was also Chairman of the board of the Fashion Group International for 8 years and opened offices in Paris, London and Toronto.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the land and the privacy, but close to everything (the ocean, village and bay). The nearest neighbor is 4 acres away. The house is next to a 34 acre tree farm preserve. The house itself is on 4 beautiful acres and has 20 flowering cherry trees bordering the rear and side of the property. You enter by passing down a lane with an 11 acre pasture where Jackie Onassis rode as a child and where the original Hampton Classic took place in the 1930's. It is a private sanctuary only 3 minutes from Southampton Village. You avoid all the traffic because you can jump off route 39 in Southampton and start enjoying your vacation in the top summer spot in the world as far as we are concerned. Fresh air, pristine beaches, fun events, concerts in the park and on the beach, farm stands, vineyards, boating and swimming and an easy trip from NYC via car, bus, or train. The house is perfectly situated between the ocean (5 minutes away) and a fresh water lake, hiking trails and bay beaches.

What makes this property unique

We remodeled the house by putting French sliding doors and a full wall of windows looking over the back lawn. You feel that you are living in nature with a stunning view of 3 acres of lawn in the back with 20 mature flowering trees and a full size, heated swimming pool. Surrounded by open fields that remind you of Kentucky, this is truly a special place. We then added an extra family room with a full mirrored wall which could be a dance studio or work out room and where we have an air hockey table. This connects to the huge 2400 sq ft garage/barn where my husband who was a painter could paint and our daughter who was a gymnast could practice on the tumble track. Now guests use it for playing basketball, ping pong and tennis on the backwall.
