Notes:
The Big Diamond Ranch The cabins for rent at the Big Diamond Ranch are exclusive, private, and built with an affinity for quality. Set high on top of the hill, the cozy homes have an unobstructed eagles-nest view over the valley, the mountain range and the pristine Wind River that flows right through the entire length of the vast property. Being located 12 miles west of the town of Dubois, allows for a head-start in getting to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton or Jackson Hole. Guests of the Big Diamond Ranch enjoy an exclusive right to fly-fish the private stretch of river which boasts with an angler’s dream of native cutthroat, big browns, rainbow, and brook trout. The back of the cabins open directly to 2.5 million acres of Shoshone National Forest, a playground for 4-wheeling, horseback riding or some world class snowmobiling in the winter.

Excellent & Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Excellent stay! Friendly welcome shortly after we got to our cabin which already had a welcome note and how to get in touch with them if needed. The cabin was clean, loved the full kitchen to do our own cooking. Rented an ATV for a day and had a blast! Quiet and peaceful stay which was what we were looking for. Would go back there again.

Great days in Dubois

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is as described, everthing there, clean and functional. We had a good time visiting the Yellostone NP, grilling and hanging around. There is more to do, but we didn't had time.

Beware of location

  • 3 of 5

There are 4 cabins on this property. We stayed in Deer Fawn. The cabins are located in a gravel road in the middle of nowhere. The rarest town is Dubois Wy which only has a population of around 800. Only two or 3 restaurants there. Very, very small town with nothing to do. Yellowstone is an hour and a half away. There is no cell service at the cabins so we could not communicate with the caretakers regarding issues we had. Our friends in another cabin had their smoke alarms going off all night but they couldn't call anyone to fix it. Need two way radios in this remote area. However I would say that cabins were new and nicely furnished. Kitchen and bathrooms have granite, there is a fireplace and outdoor fire pit. We did rent ATV's from the owners and that was a lot of fun. Bottom line make sure this is the location you really want to be in based on what your plans, because it is far away from everything.

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! We went for our honeymoon and were extremely excited to get there. We had never been to Wyoming and had been looking forward to it for months. We didn't really know what to expect, especially after driving through Dubois (pop. 962). We are from southern California and love to get away from everything that is 'city/suburb life'.

We pulled through the log arch and onto the property. We crossed a small bridge spanning the Wind river, continued on the dirt road and parked in front of our cabin. It was as awe-inspiring as the pictures from their website.

About 10 minutes after we arrived, Martin (the owner) drove up and introduced himself. We had a wonderful conversation. He was very welcoming, answered all of our questions and suggested numerous activities that we may want to undertake during our stay. He advised us of the scenic areas we could visit at the time (it had recently snowed so certain places/roads were closed). He was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we had plenty of options from which to choose. He even took the quads that they have available and scouted the trails in the area to make sure they were safe and clear of debris should we want to use them.

The cabin, along with the entirety of the property, was immaculate. The kitchen was stocked with all necessities, as well as some non-essentials that certainly proved helpful.

To make a long story longer, we had an amazing stay. It was, without question, our favorite vacation and a big part of that was because of Martin and the Big Diamond Ranch.

Thanks again Martin (and family)! We'll be seeing you again soon.
