The Ashley Lake Estate is a breathtaking property with all of the amenities!

  • 5 of 5

We loved every minute of our stay at Ashley Lake Estate! This property has it all...expansive home with beautiful details, a turquoise, crystal clear lake, boats, water toys of every kind, hot tub, water trampoline, high-end kitchen amenities, impressive bedroom suites, and plenty of space for large groups to spread out or gather. Another highlight of this home was the opportunity to work with Kelly and Tom. As a property manager, Kelly, was prompt, informative, and a pleasure to work with. Over the course of our year-long planning, she was always there to answer any questions and went above and beyond in terms of customer service. Also, it was so nice to have Tom on-site as the caretaker. He was up early every morning making sure the grounds were pristine and everything was ready for us for the day. He was a wealth of knowledge for us on the area, the lake, and the wildlife...we enjoyed talking with him. Kelly and Tom both enhanced this experience for us with their personalities; we feel fortunate to have met them. The location of the home was also a positive for us. It was remote enough that we had privacy, yet close enough that we drove two days into Whitefish and two days into Glacier National Park. Our group of 12 all agreed that we would come back to Ashley Lake Estate in a heartbeat and hope to do it soon...there is no need to look anywhere else; this place has it all!

Great property and we had a wonderful time.

We had a family of 5 children and 6 adults. Swimming, speed boat, water skiing, fishing and to relax in a fantastic house. What could be better?

This place is awesome! Like another reviewer mentions, we had booked this spot nearly a year in advance, and I worried that I had too high of hopes. But once we got there it totally exceeded my expectations. Beautiful lake, beautiful house, everything is top-notch. Comfortable beds/pillows/linens, great kitchen, great amount of seating for our group of kids and adults (15 total), wonderful patio with hot tub, grill, meat smoker. The lake boating equipment (paddle boards, kayaks, speed boat, fishing boat, tubes, skis) were all excellent, and the lake itself is as clear and blue-green as the Caribbean. We caught enough fish in one outing to feed our entire group one night. We left for a day to go to Glacier Natl Park, but didn't need to; there was more than enough for us to do at Ashley Lake. Furthermore, both Kelly and Tom are wonderful and so accommodating--by far the best VRBO hosts I've ever dealt with. This property is AMAZING.

Incredible lake front home

  • 5 of 5

Just like many of the other reviews, the house is perfect! The pictures don't do it just. We have rented homes around the world and this is one of the best. Kelly and Tom are fantastic and they are there to make your vacation hassle free. There is so much to do that we only left the house once for a half day fishing trip.

If I had any quibbles, it would be that the kitchen is a bit small to cook for 20. And food storage for 20 is challenging as we brought almost everything for the week. These are very minor things and we plan to go back next year!

Colorado to Montana

  • 5 of 5

The house was as perfect as the pictures. We enjoyed the beautiful setting as well and waking up every morning to a bunch of deer eating in the backyard. Being avid water sport people, we wished, though no fault of Tom or Kelly, that the weather would have been warmer and the lake warmer also (fire pit and hot tub were used daily to help keep us warm). Tom was always there if we needed him and willing to do what ever was necessary to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Highest praise for this wonderful house and all that it offered--it would make a great place to spend Christmas also.

Hidden Gem on A Beautiful Lake!

  • 5 of 5

Where do we begin...

We have stayed in various VRBO's across World, but this one was Truly Awe inspiring. The Booking was made easy working with Kelly. She was very accommodating and friendly, answered all our questions in a timely manner too. After making the 10.5hr drive from SLC Utah, arriving at this home was a Wonderful sight for us. Secluded and gorgeous, Bold yet subtle, we were Amazed!!!

From the moment we walked through the door, we could not believed we booked such a Wonderful cabin on Ashley Lake. From the layout of the property, to the decor, and the amenities, we knew we were in for a great week on our vacation.

On the day of arrival, Tom left us a note on the front door telling us he was sorry he missed us but had a function to attend. We met the Caretaker, Tom, on our second day. Come to find out, he was attending his own surprise birthday. Such a nice gentleman; more on that.

Some of the pictures on VRBO don't do this property any justice. Everything is high end, big, and beautiful, from the appliances, comfy beds, wonderful decor, and amazing bar, to the furniture, bathrooms, and flatware. We were surprised to find four mountain bikes in the garage which we used a lot. They were high end too (Trek), so don't bring any when you travel.

On to the water...Two boats on the private dock; one, a cool 12' fishing boat (fishing poles are on site too), and a 22' Centurion ski boat which was excellent for water sports (skis, wake boards, knee boards, etc...). Our group thoroughly enjoyed splashing around on the tow-able Viper (so don't bring one because they have one) and wake boarding, which we did everyday.

Deer greeted us every morning outside the front door, bald eagles on the tree tops, and many other critters and animals were seen. Adults chilled in the hot tub and the kids played for hours on the floating water trampoline. When the day ended and night began, we worked on puzzles, roasted marshmallows, and gazed at the stars.

We have to say that aside from the Luxurious house that sits on fifty acres of scenic beauty, to the three quarters of a mile of private shoreline of serene peacefulness, the caretaker, Tom, is what truly made our vacation so memorable. What was more intriguing is that Tom is the owner and is still so very humble and thoughtful. He even spent the better part of his day getting the ski boat fixed when it broke.

We will be back next Summer!
