All the amenities

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location. Updated interiors. All the amenities, including a full kitchen plus plus (much better than mine at home). A 6-minute walk to the Utah Shakes theaters. A lot of street noise, but it didn't bother me. Clay is a wonderful host -- very responsive and attentive. And it has to be the best lodging value in Cedar City.

Deceptive & Misleading

  • 1 of 5

This is NOT an apartment, it is a business office with a bed and fridge. The front door is shared with a beauty salon that controls the thermostat. And hair chemical fumes, customer conversations and NONSTOP traffic noises day and night will prevent sleep = this is NOT a vacation rental. Attempts to contact the owner & HomeAway have gone unanswered. I had to find (and pay for) another lodging in Cedar City in the height of the Shakespeare Festival. Per HomeAway's instructions, this four nights' stay was prepaid. Which I did not/could not use. Very disappointed in HomeAway VacationRentals: listing properties based solely on owners' descriptions rather than the facts. (and the idea that this property has ANY stars is more proof that the ratings are tampered with).

Owner's Response: I have had this rental for 3 years and have had multiple repeat customers from vrbo. I apologize that you felt that this was not an apartment or misleading. I don't hide anything about the listing. I advertise that the apartment is located on main street. I have several 5 star reviews which state there is traffic noise, but that its nothing over bearing. Every question that you sent me i promptly replied with an answer. I try my best to make my apartment a comfortable one so that my guests have an enjoyable stay. The apartment is so much more than just a bedroom and a fridge, as you can see from the pictures. I try my hardest to accommodate and make everyone's stay a great one, but sometimes there are some people who no matter what, just cant be pleased.

Perfect location in Cedar City

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay in Cedar City. The apartment was just what we needed. We hiked in national parks (Bryce, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Zion, Cedar Breaks, etc.) by day and watched Shakespeare plays by night. The Shakespeare Festival is just a few blocks away. A few more blocks away is a running/bike path, and a supermarket is directly across the street. Cafes with coffee and ice cream are also only a few steps away. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, and reliable wifi. One of the most exceptional things about the property is the owner. He is kind, generous, and prompt in all communication. We look forward to returning.

Centrally located within walking distance of many of our activities.

  • 5 of 5

Nestled in the heart of downtown Cedar City. We came to enjoy the Utah Shakespearean Festival, which we walked to daily. Enjoyed quaint shops and eating places. Traveled to and hiked through four national parks/monuments and state parks. This apartment could not have been better for our needs.

Wonderful in all respects

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay during the Utah Shakespeare Festival - a leisurely six minute walk to the Festival's activities. The apartment had everything the two of us needed - a full-sized kitchen with table seating for four, a nicely sized bedroom with a queen bed and two reclining chairs, a clean bathroom, shower with plenty of water pressure and laundry facilities. A grocery store is across the street. We saved lots of money as we prepared most meals in the apartment. The owner was very responsive to the one special request we had. Great value for the price.

Great place from which to explore southern Utah!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for an extended weekend and loved the place. The unit was clean and equipped for what we needed (coffee pot; toaster; washer/dryer; etc). Unit was small but we didn't need much space. Owner was very responsive. Cedar city was good place from which to explore southern Utah (Zion; Bryce; etc).

Cedar City is known as the Festival City. There are always activities going around town. They have a new aquatic center and a new ice skating rink for the winter. On top of Leigh hill right by the aquatic center there is a large lake where you can swim, fish, kayak or just play on the beach. There are tons of hiking and biking trails to keep you busy for weeks around the area.
