If you’re travelling to San Diego, why not experience California living at its finest? This beautiful, three bedroom, two bathroom open floor plan home sits on a large, peaceful canyon. And while you’ll feel like you’ve gotten away from it all, you’re just a short drive to all of San Diego’s famous attractions. 5 miles to San Diego Zoo; 10 miles to SeaWorld and Airport.

This unique home is a sanctuary for those seeking a peaceful escape from their hectic lives. The large patio has a prominent water feature that beckons you to relax and enjoy the view. Another patio is perfect for a quiet dinner, complete with BBQ grill and seating for four. As you venture into the hillside yard, you can unwind in the private hot tub while enjoying the lush landscaping that surrounds you.

There are large windows throughout, including five sets of French doors, that flood the house with natural light. The home remains private with gorgeous views to the canyon and landscaping.

The master suite has a queen sized bed, fireplace and spa-like master bathroom with walk around shower and large skylight. The front guest room has a king bed and the sun-room facing the canyon has a full-sized bed. There is also another queen bed in a small studio in the backyard (no bathroom). The home can accommodate 5 people throughout.

**Children will need approval. The home is not ideal for the very young due to water features and canyon stairs. Renters must be respectful of noise levels. Clean & Convenient

Family was there for a week. Was convenient to get to everywhere in San Diego area. Off-street parking parking was great as well as a nice neighborhood.

What a treasure!

I am so fortunate to have found this unique oasis in the canyons iof San Diego. Its location is very close to the beaches, old town, gaslamp District and the border It served as my homebase for six weeks and I wish I could’ve stayed six more. This home had a plethora of surprises with its unique design and layout. You could comfortably entertain six people. I have rented many San Diego VRBO’s over the years as I have escaped from the winters of Minnesota. This house stands out over all others. . The gardens and patios are multi level and contain fountains, hot tub ,a guest house and lovely flora and fauna., Everything I needed was made available, including kitchen appliances , cookwear , linens, blankets, and lots of other amenities. It is located in a quiet residential area, which is safe and beautiful. There is no lack of parking. My small dog had access to the large area of the entire backyard witch was fenced in. The host was always available and had quick responses to anything I needed. Quite frankly, I can’t say anything negative about this place and I plan to come back again. Consider this home for a one of a kind setting to enjoy beautiful San Diego. , This is 5 stars plus .

Peaceful neighborhood, great view

This home is a very interesting property. Each room is a unique layer of unexpected discovery. Walking the dog around the neighborhood felt safe and friendly. Upon arrival, you immediately think it’s a very small cottage, don’t be deceived, as it opens itself up to reveal more around each corner. Many levels, sections and surprises will await you. The outdoor living space was our favorite. Clem’s Taphouse is a very delicious small bistro within walking distance. Great beers, wines, pizzas and sandwiches. The lighting in the home was a special delight. It would be an ideal neighborhood to take children trick or treating.

Originally from the East Coast, I have adapted well to the laid back lifestyle of Southern California. I love being close to large, diverse cities, the desert, the mountains and the beautiful beaches. San Diego is a unique gem and everyone should be fortunate enough to experience it.

Why they chose this property

I love this home as it blends beautifully with the canyon and lush tropical landscaping. I added an additional bedroom to the front in 2012 which dramatically changed the curb appeal and gave it the street presence you see today. I look forward to hosting you and know you will enjoy this private sanctuary as much as I have.

What makes this property unique

This home offers many unique features. The interiors were fashioned by a famous designer named Steven Chase. The home has an abundance of high-end finishes and surprising details like large industrial skylights, textured walls, French doors and numerous windows, recessed illuminated alcoves, mirrored walls, a spacious open floor plan, and under-cabinet lighting.

The grounds are private and from inside the home, the view drops below you into the canyon. The yard is filled with lush, tropical landscaping, a hot tub, deck, patio and a circular flow that blends with the welcoming feel of the home.
