Cabin with a View - Sunset Cabin is nestled in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee with amazing views of the Smoky Mountains. Location less than 5 miles from Dollywood and the Parkway with some of the best views you can find.

Just 5 miles from Dollywood and the Parkway of Pigeon Forge this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom luxury cabin offers great views, privacy and all the amenities for a relaxing vacation.

3 decks with great views, a hot tub, game room with (2) full size arcade games with 50+ games, TVs in every room including a 50' LCD in the living room above the gas fireplace, 60’ 4K smart TVs with DVD player in the game room and high speed WiFi.

The cabin is an easy drive (all paved roads) and offers easy parking for at least 2 cars (up to 3 car parking).

Cabin with a View - Sunset Cabin has everything you need for 12 people including new KitchenAid appliances, dishes, bakeware, etc. Dining room table can seat 10 people (12 with small kids) plus we have a outdoor table available on the middle rear deck.

We offer 4 bedrooms all with pillow top mattresses. The bedrooms are configured as follows:
Bedroom 1: Located on Main level with King Size bed, LCD TV, and access to deck (no stairs).
Bedroom 2: Master bedroom with private bathroom, king size bed, LCD TV, desk, and private deck. Located on 2 level.
Bedroom 3: Located on lower level with queen size bed and TV. Shared bathroom.
Bedroom 4: Located on lower level with king size bed, LCD TV, access to deck with hot tub and a shared bathroom. This bedroom also features a futon that folds out into a full size bed.
The living room also features a queen size sleeper sofa.

Great Family Getaway

Great cabin for a family vacation

Overall we (2 grandparents) and our kids (2 adult couples, a 1.5 year old grand-daughter, and 2 large dogs) really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Each family had ample space in their room(s), hot tub was a daily routine, kids play house was awesome for the little one, picnic tables on the deck and inside were great for family meals. Views were awesome, and proximity to the Park as well as the "tourist stuff" was a definite plus. Michael was very responsive to questions, pretty much all of them asked before our stay began. Disappointed that the fire pit couldn't be used yet due to new city regulations (all gas fire pits must have timers and updated permits), but Michael gave us a refund for that. Fireplace worked first 3 days but then stopped working, not really an issue as weather warmed up and heat/air conditioning worked just fine. Dishwasher was a plus with our large group. Not a lot of outside space for the dogs to do their thing, but that's the trade off for having a nice cabin on the side of a mountain. Got creative with parking, kids 2 cars (Grand Cherokee and a Ford Maverick) were in front of the cabin and we parked just the other side of the cabin on a flat spot between the road edge and the guard railing (Ford Escape). All in all it was a great trip and we really enjoyed staying at the cabin!

Winter break family vacation

The cabin was nice. We appreciate a pet friendly cabin because my parents enjoy bringing their small dogs with them. We enjoyed having room for everyone in our party to have privacy. Great brand new and efficient appliances. Plenty of supplies left for us to use. Nice hot tub and beautiful views. Beds were comfortable. Some things to consider were that the cabin definitely needs a deep clean. The windows and window seals were very dirty as well as the blinds. The blinds were mostly all broken or in need of repair as well. The silverware in the drawer was dirty. We washed them all again. The sheets on the bed couldn’t have been clean because there was crumbs on one of the beds downstairs in the basement. And I must say it was a big disappointment to not be able to use the outdoor fire pit while we were there because of a new fire department rule. However, that is nobody’s fault. The gas was also turned off to our fireplace inside and the owner tried to get that fixed but was unable so he did graciously refund $100 of our rental. All in all we had a great trip and we appreciate people letting us rent their beautiful homes. These are just things I would want to know before I rent a cabin.

It was nice.

Plenty of room for us all. Had an issue lighting the fire pit. We had to look up a you tube on how to light it because it wouldn’t stay lit. Had to dodge Japanese beetles (most people think they are male lady bugs) in the upstairs bathroom. They would fly into my coffee as I was getting ready for the day. Wish there were Christmas decorations like the other cabins as we were celebrating with some family.

Good Location

Nice cabin. Beds were extremely comfortable. Nice to have 2 separate areas to watch TV and both had comfortable couches. Kids playhouse on one of decks was cute. Parking is a little tight for a full size truck and Ford Edge. Door to access hot tub is off bedroom downstairs so that was kind of a pain if whomever occupies that room goes to bed early. A door off of the sitting / couch area in basement would be nice for others to be able to use hot tub.

My wife and I live in Michigan now but purchased the property in 2010 when we lived in NC. Jamie and I met in High School and have been together ever since. We have two young girls and hope to enjoy many vacations in Pigeon Forge with them.

Why they chose this property

I've been visiting the Smokey Mountains since I was a kid with my family and enjoyed it so much that we continued to visit every year after I met my wife. In 2010, we stayed in a cabin rental and felt it was time to make ourselves a home away from home in Pigeon Forge, TN. We wanted to be close to the action but far enough away to enjoy the Smokey Mountains and most of all wanted an amazing view to enjoy. We searched at least 50 cabins until we found Sunset Cabin and the moment we drove up to the cabin we knew it was the one. The views are to die for and its less than 5 miles to the main strip in Pigeon Forge. The balance of being close to everything yet the feeling of being far from everything was perfect for us. It felt like the home the minute we arrived.

What makes this property unique

The views are amazing, we think its some of the best in the area. We could sit on one of the three decks and rock in the chairs or swing for hours. The private hot tub and game room are also a lot of fun. Mike's first purchase was the multicade arcade game with 50+ games on it including Ms. PacMan and have added a second arcade game, Big Buck Hunter!
