About Genny Wilson

Stu and I met in 2005, in Lynchburg, Virginia.

We married and headed West to live closer to our grandkids.

We have used VRBO for all our travels since then, and decided it was a great way to share our sweet cabin in Virginia with y'all!

Genny Wilson purchased this cabin in 1986

Why Genny Wilson chose Lovingston

Stuart bought this land and built this house for the seclusion and the beauty that surrounds it.

What makes this cabin unique

If you are looking for a very quiet, relaxing vacation getaway, a simple but sweet, clean and comfortable romantic Anniversary or honeymoon retreat, a private peaceful writers retreat, with no distractions, a family gathering, or to re-connect without all the pods, pads and technology, then Davis Creek Cabin is where you'll want to stay.

Perfect for wine lovers, as we are located in the heart of Virginia wine country, with several local vineyards and breweries in driving distance.

There are festivals, concerts, antiquing, Walton's Mountain Museum, Wintergreen Ski Resort, Monticello, and other attractions and places to visit!

The little town of Lovingston is just a short 4 mile drive up Highway 29, where you'll find a post office, grocery store, Trager Brothers coffee,(which we provide at the cabin), a dollar store, a Subway and a McDonalds...as well as a little local diner called The Lovingston Cafe for good country fare.

Great well-appointed cabin away from it all

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was located near lots of activities but at the end of the road to offer privacy. The fire pit was great and lots of outdoor seating. The kitchen was well-equipped and the indoor wood stove created a great atmosphere. The cabin was clean and has lush towels. Plenty of room for the four of us.

Charming Cabin in the Woods!

  • 5 of 5

This charming cabin in the woods is filled with all of the nice touches to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all types of cooking pans & utensils. The beds are extremely comfortable. Although there is only one bathroom, it is very roomy. The wood stove produced all the warmth needed for cool nights. We will return!

Just what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Davis Creek Cabin. Peaceful seclusion was exactly as advertised. Cabin was clean and super comfy. The kitchen was well-equipped, excellent assortment of spices, Mrs. Myers cleaning products, etc. Loved the Trager Brother's coffee and relaxing by the fire. It was great to be able to share this magical place with our fur-baby, who appreciated the dog treats. We look forward to return visits!

Another wonderful mountain weekend!

  • 5 of 5

As always, our stay at Davis Creek Cabin was comfortable and enjoyable! Can't remember ever seeing so many stink bugs in one place before!! They did not bother us in the least and we loved the cabin and the fire pit as well as the porch swing while we were there to attend the Rebec Winery's Wine and Garlic Festival. Great local close to lots to do and see. We love this place and will keep coming back!!
