With full amenities, this sweet spot is a stone’s throw away from the pool, and a 3 minute walk to the Marina for stunning panoramic views of the ever-changing river and nearby parkland. Shopping, dining out, and all ocean-side state parks are a reasonable drive.

From your boat you can explore a variety of striking water settings and landscapes along the Indian River and its tributaries, the Rehobeth and Indian River bays, and the vast Atlantic ocean (about 8 miles away), and also the Holt Landing and Delaware State parks.

~ If fishing is your sport, Gull Point is right on the Indian River and has great fishing and crabbing..

~ If you like deep sea fishing, you're 8 miles by boat to the Indian River inlet and immense Atlantic Ocean with some of the best fishing grounds on the East Coast.

~ If you love water sports, bring your speed boat for skiing and tubing, and your jet skis, kite boards, windsurfers, kayaks, canoes, or sailboats!

~ If you like to surf, the North Shore of the Indian River Inlet and Cape Henlopen are some of the best surfing on the East Coast and are 15-20 miles away by car. Ocean City and Assateague, also famed for surfing, are about an hour away.

~ If you love to golf, you are 5 miles to 20 miles from some of the most beautiful courses in the region.

~ In addition, within 15-20 miles are the Delaware State Park beaches with open spaces, fantastic fishing from beach or jetty, and some of the best surfing on the east coast at the North Indian River Inlet Beach.

~ Also, if you just want to get away from it all, put your feet up and relax - this is the place. Peaceful views abound, and the Small Easy is a place to slow down, rest, and rejuvenate your soul.

For those who like the 'happenning' beach towns, Rehobeth beach is about 15 miles away from the house and has a boardwalk, various restaurants, shopping etc. A series of outlet malls is nearby as well. In addition, the historic town of Lewes is about a 15 mile drive from the house as well, where within a half-square mile you will find the Historic district, museums, shops, and fine restaurants.

Also 15 miles away, discover the one-of-a kind Cape Henlopen Park with something for everyone. This gem has wide open bay, ocean, and surfing beaches; the fascinating World War II Fort Myers museum complete with bunkers, barracks, artillery, and a 60 foot observation tower with amazing views which is open to the public. In addition, great kayaking in the Delaware bay which has a light house and jetty to explore (last time we went, dolphins were swimming all around us!) a nature center, loads of biking and hiking trails, and a large fishing pier. Cape May ferry, a great day-trip, is right next to Cape Henlopen.

Perfect location for those who love quiet. Our family loved this spacious home that allowed us to sit out on the pier nightly and watch the sunset. We look forward to renting from you again John!

Nice place

  • 4 of 5

Location - decent. Not too far from the beach but expect at least 30 mins without traffic. Gas and grocery close by.

Community - great. Everyone was nice and helpful. The pool was great and the marina was nice.

House - beautiful light and open. The toilet fixtures were old and had a hard time working well. The washer and dryer were also quite old and were really noisy and didn't dry that well.

Host - didn't respond to the two attempts to communicate with him. One was to change the dates of the reservation and the other was to let him know that the code to get into the house had changed and we had a hard time with it upon check out.

Overall, it worked well for three couples and 1 1.5 year old. Would certainly stay there again.

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

It was very clean and the owners were more than accommodating. We like to cook our own food while on vacation and when we expressed our concern about not having an operational grill prior to our stay they purchased one and set it up for us the day we arrived.

The location was great for relaxation. The house was clean, spacious and lovely.

The house was clean, spacious and lovely. The location was great for relaxation and a trip to Rehoboth Beach was very easy. The pool was enjoyable, the Crepe Myrtles beautiful and there were many butterflies. The wifi was good but sometimes inconsistent and only Verizon received service in the house (neither Sprint nor T-Mobile worked). This is a spot I would definitely return to.
