About this property

Beautiful Granite Point Mountain Lodge on Resurrection Bay!

This amazing lodge is located just 15 miles out of Seward Alaska, and is only accessible by boat or helicopter. Our establishment sits on top of a 150 foot cliff directly above the ocean, commanding awe inspiring billion dollar views! From this spectacular vista watch humpback whales, orcas, otters and sea lions frolic below while eagles and ravens soar above! Come enjoy the comforts of Alaskan hospitality in this modern take on the old lodge feel. We like to call it 'sophistirustication'.
Accommodations here at Granite Point are top notch. A fully equipped kitchen complete with gas range, refrigerator and breakfast bar stand ready for all your culinary desires. You will find high tech LED lighting through out, powered by a renewable energy system, and a unique water catchment structure. Relax after a long day of adventuring with a hot shower, sit next to the inviting wood stove, and curl up on our comfortable couches. When you are ready to retire there are 2 cozy bedrooms, each with a large queen bed and private views of the ocean cove below. Kayaks and paddle board use is included with lodge or cabin rental.
There is now a way for larger groups to enjoy Granite Point Mountain Lodge with the addition of the Fox Den Cabin. This new cabin acts as a overflow for the main lodge or a separate rental that can sleep up to 4 more guests in beds, and has its own kitchenette.
You can reach Granite Point Mountain Lodge by an exciting landing craft ride provided by Seward Water Taxi, or a scenic helicopter flight available thru Seward Helicopter Tours.

Stunning!
Staying at the cabin is such an amazing experience. The location is stunning and the cabin is gorgeous! This was the place we were most excited to stay at during our trip, and it did not disappoint! Will definitely be back one day!!

the views + beautiful hiking trail are amazing!
We had our "annual ladies trip" at Granite Point! As many of the other reviews point out: yes, the stairs are really something to be aware of (very steep; not safe for anyone with any physical ailments, & small children would make me very nervous). The views from the cabin/fire pit are indeed amazing! The hike behind the property is very steep, but truly incredibly beautiful (we are all from AK and really loved this hike). We were very grateful for the kitchen & all of it's amenities (it had everything we needed). It is worth noting (since we were not aware of this) that Granite Point is *not* secluded; the camp fire area is pretty close to the other cabin (we often heard the dog barking at cabin next door / kid crying next door) and people from the other cabins have to walk through your space to get own to the beach or up to the hiking trail. It did not feel as secluded as we thought we'd be; so it's worth noting to others who are wanting that experience. The compostable toilet smells really pretty bad and we were told to only use it in emergency situations (so you use outhouse). Due to the smell of toilet inside, it makes you not want to use the shower either. We were okay with not showering for two days - but just something to be aware of. Levi - the groundskeeper/property manager - was helpful with providing information and anything we needed. It was convenient to have kayaks/SUPs provided on site. Thanks for providing us with beautiful views & experiences for our annual trip!

We had a fabulous stay. It was everything we expected and more; great hiking, beautiful views, kayaking was the best, the lodge was exceptional! The property manager was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. He even showed up with fresh caught fish for us!! Delicious!! We would definitely come back for another stay. And we will tell all our friends about this wilderness escape! Thank you for sharing your little piece of Heaven!

Amazing Lodge, Worth the Climb!!!
We held our wedding here and it was absolutely gorgeous! The campfire area is just below the cabin, not down on the beach as we thought, which was great because it was super convenient for those who didn't want to go up and down. Folks should be aware that it is quite the trek up stairs and uneven ground to get there though, so it was a workout with all the food and gear for the wedding. Completely worth it though!! Levi was a great host, filling us in on various things and helping out when he could. The views were incredible and the setting was unlike anything I've experienced. And I grew up in Alaska, so I've seen a lot of amazing views. The beach was really fun too, hunting for sea glass and hanging out in the sun. Folks should know that you can't take the kayaks or paddleboards out without Levi's help or a guide though, for safety reasons. We loved our visit and can't wait to see the wedding pictures. Our family was visiting from everywhere (Maui to New Hampshire) and all said it was better than they could have imagined.

Off Grid Mountain Paradise
This place is awesome! hot showers in an off grid mountain cabin! pack moderately because its a hike up quite a bit of stairs to get up to the lodge. we rented a boat but there is a water taxi if you don't have a boat. Jeff was great to work with and so was all of his help. Levi is the caretaker and he is a great person to have around up there. we saw all kinds of wildlife while were out there. cant say enough good things about this place. i would love to come back here again someday!

I have lived in Alaska for over 20 years, and have spent most of my free time exploring this beautiful state by kayaking, hiking, back country boarding hunting and fishing. My vision in creating Granite Point Mountain Lodge is to share my love of the wilderness by providing a comfortable base camp from which fellow travelers can explore the surrounding area.
