About Greg

Our family lives in Narberth, PA and we enjoy any time we can spend at the house in BKB. The activities we enjoy range from simple walks in the Primehook Preserve to a night out in Rehoboth Beach.

Greg purchased this house in 2012

Why Greg chose Delaware

We were attracted to the A-Frame design of the house and the generous window areas. The large open family room and kitchen/dining area that opens up on to the deck is a great space to relax or have fun in. The natural light in this room surrounds you and draws you into the room.

What makes this house unique

The family room is a large, bright two story space that is fun to hang out it. The master bedroom loft is a cozy nook and cranny space that has its own deck. There's hammock under the house for naps or relaxing. There's a great outdoor shower in the back.

Awesome Vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful home steps from the beach. Private, quiet and relaxing. The beach was perfect for our grandchildren. Plenty of room for our family and the dogs. Greg was a pleasure to work with and the vacation went off without a hitch. In addition, the beautiful plants inside and on the deck were a lovely treat. We had the pleasure of watching the hibiscus bloom while surrounded by hummingbirds. Absolutely wonderful!

Owner's Response: Hi Susan, I am so glad you had fun at our house and Broadkill Beach, especially with your grandchildren. My wife is ecstatic that you mentioned the plants and hummingbirds in your review. She and I think its a great part about being in Broadkill Beach and that you pointed it out specifically. She works very hard in the spring to get that all together, so again, its especially rewarding that you pointed that out. Enjoy the rest of the summer, then come back next year! Take care Greg

Wonderful spot for a family vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in broadkill. Myself, my husband our 3 year old twins, my parents, and our two large dogs we absolutely comfortable in this house. It was in close proximity to the beach so the daily tasks of lugging your beach stuff to the beach wasn't horrible. The beach was not crowded at all. It was so nice not having the anxiety of overcrowded beaches and losing our children to think about. The flowers on the front deck were beautiful and all of us enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and butterflies throughout our stay. This was a beautiful house and we had a super relaxing vacation.

Clean, neat, great location

  • 4 of 5

Was the listing description accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc?

Yes. There are 3 queen sized beds with blankets and pillows, but no linens (which was preferred for my family). The grill worked great. Plenty of beach supplies (chairs, boards, umbrella).

Was the property clean and well-maintained?

Yes, the house and property are clean and maintained.

Did the owner provide good customer service? Yes, Greg was easy to get in contact with.

Would you recommend this property to your friends or relatives? Yes.

What activities, attractions and restaurants did you like or dislike near by?

The beach is within sight of the driveway. The beach is private, so there are very few people there. There is no lifeguard, but you don't really need one. The waves are small to non-existent. We were able to relax and read a book/nap while the kids played in the water and in the sand (great sand for castles, BTW). Folks had their dogs on the beach, lit bonfires, and fired off fireworks just about every night. Overall, a very relaxing environment.

The closest business is a little general store. They have the bare essentials (milk, sand toys, coffee, snacks). I recommend their sticky buns on Tuesday mornings. There are no restaurants, bars, or coffee shops nearby. Lewes is about 20 minutes and Rehobeth is 25-45 minutes away, based on traffic.

Thank you for a pleasant vacation!

Lovely, bright house on the beach block at Broadkill Beach

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this bright, airy house on the beach block at Broadkill Beach. The floor plan is wonderful for a family group, with a large open area with cathedral ceiling containing a kitchen, dining area and living room. With two bedrooms and bath and a small deck in the back and large deck in the front, and a loft bedroom, bath and balcony, the house is well suited to a family group (at times we were 6 adults, 1 child plus dogs). We appreciated the wonderful outdoor shower and hammocks under the house, as well as all the details that make this a beach home rather than a rental property. The kitchen was very well stocked, beach chairs and umbrella provided, and even a welcome gift awaited our arrival. The host was cooperative and pleasant. Overall this is a lovely place to stay at Broadkill.

Relaxing set-up and well appointed home!

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved the open floor-plan and well-equipped kitchen, which allowed us to entertain some family who were visiting nearby for a group dinner. The three decks made for nice quiet space to get away, and the hammock and sitting area underneath was a nice touch as well. The un-crowded beach was just a few steps away, where we enjoyed bonfires and morning walks. The outdoor shower was heavenly! This beach house has many amenities that make it feel like a home, rather than a rental. We will definitely rent this one again!
