About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedroom + Loft, 2.5 Baths, Sleeps 8

Welcome to our Favorite Place on the Planet - our cabin is a space for our friends, family and followers to explore and enjoy this gem in Utah. Paradise Lodge provides you with luxurious + roomy accommodations in a mountain setting. Stay a few days, a week (or four) and enjoy all Duck Creek Pines and surrounding areas has to offer. With our beautiful cabin as your home, you'll never want to leave. Find yourself in 2,670 square foot, log cabin, with 2 levels in Duck Creek Pines on a large 1.5 acre lot. Tucked in a private and quiet spot.

Our cabin has 3 fully furnished bedrooms with a loft area that has two lay flat couches and 2.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom on the main floor has a King Bed and the two upstairs bedrooms each have 2 Queen Beds (a total of 4 Queen Beds upstairs). A fully stocked kitchen offers you opportunities to cook like a chef with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and gourmet extras or try your hand outside on the grill or roast hotdogs over the fire pit.

Planning our space we included two 52 inch Plasma HD TVs with direct TV cable provider - one in the family room and the other upstairs in the loft area both with DVD players. At 8,500 feet it is rare to need air conditioning but we have it just in case. My favorite feature is the floor to ceiling fireplace. Paradise Lodge has free WIFI. And new this year we have an outdoor fire pit, marshmallow sticks for creating memories around the fire (bring your own wood).

In addition to paper towels and toilet paper the cabin is also stocked with laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, two hair dryers, extra pillows and lots of extra towels and linens.

Duck Creek Pines is a beautiful area for vacationing. Tall pine trees, easy ATV and snowmobile access within minutes on National Forest Land.

If you are into the outdoors then this is your paradise. It is located at 8,500 feet above sea level and is gorgeous and cool during the summer and in the winter has plenty of snow for snowmobiling and skiing. Outdoor activities include ATVing and snowmobiling (rentals available for both) hiking and backpacking, mountain biking, stream and lake fishing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and sledding.

This cabin is minutes from the quaint Duck Creek Village explore it for yourself.

About Doug and Stephanie

Our family loves the outdoors, hiking, biking, skiing, musicals and riding ATV's. Our dad hopes to teach us to fly fish someday. This cabin is his mid-life crisis or his dream come true.

Doug and Stephanie purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Doug and Stephanie chose Duck Creek Village

We travelled to Duck Creek Pines to visit our friends and fell in love with this cabin, surrounding areas and being able to unplug from the world. We liked it so much we bought it so YOU can enjoy our piece of paradise! We are in perfect proximity to many wonderful sites. Southern Utah is one of the most unique places on earth. It is nice and cool during the summer and gets plenty of snow during the winter yet it is accessible year round. The best memories are made at the cabin!

What makes this cabin unique

This is a luxury custom cabin on 1.5 acres of land. The master has a king size bed and jetted tub in the bathroom. The guest rooms each have two queen beds. It is one of the few cabins on the mountain that has air conditioning. The large free standing gas fireplace is the centerpiece of the cabin. The loft houses two bedrooms and also has a large area for TV and play area. A comfortable wrap around porch covers 3/4 of the cabin with an outside grill. The driveway is easy to navigate.

Cabin bliss

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful setting and the cabin was exactly as presented. Very clean and had all the comforts! Super location to visit either Zion or Bryce or to just chill and enjoy the mountain. Loved it.

Exceptional, xtrategically located and owners Stephanie and Doug that will go the extra mile for you

  • 5 of 5

Not enough words to describe the property, location and the helpful owners. But central to all that we wanted to do, plus more...Zion, Bryce, Kanab and other treasures we found ourselves along the way. Plenty of eating options, if you want to venture beyond the cabin's kitchen. So much room in the cabin to congragate, but also to find your own solitude. Number one, personal aspect for me was the natural spots I discovers such as groves of Adorns everywhere, the lava fields, Ice Cave, back trails near Duck Pond and so much more. If you enjoy meeting people from surrounding locations, US and other countries, you will get your fill. We stayed 4 days, but could have done more. Super location for children. Hope to bring my grandchildren there soon. Only downside for me was the number of ATVs that are in other places of Duck Creek. That is my personal environmental pet-peeve...but definitely not taking anything away from the property or overall experience. Finally, Stephanie and Doug kept responding to us from the time we booked the VRBO site in October/November 2017 until our trip this past week, May 23-28, 2018. No question was ever too simple or complex for them to answer. We were fully "armed" before we arrived. Like they say in their Guest Book, "If you are going to love once, do it right" paraphrase. Fantastic Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED our stay at Duck Creek! The owners were so easy to work with and answered our questions promptly. The cabin is gorgeous with all the modern day convenience with a touch of rustic. It was a great getaway location being close to the National Parks. We hope to stay there again!

Owner's Response: The location of the cabin between Bryce National Park, Zion National Park, and Cedar Breaks Monument makes it a great place to come back to each night to a central location.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this stunning rental. The owners are clearly detail oriented and the result is a true home away from home. The kitchen is very organized and the beds are super comfy. I especially appreciated the binder which included answers to any question that might pop up. We used this place as a home base for visiting Bryce and Zion (each about an hour away) and couldn't have been more thrilled each evening to return!

Owner's Response: We love our cabin and want guests to feel at home by making it easy for them to know where things go and how to turn things on. We try to answer any question you might have in the "All You Need to Know" binder on the desk. Make the cabin home base for the NPs but also visit the local lesser known spots such as Cedar Breaks National Monument abut 30 min from the cabin.

Amazing cabin, plenty of space and good location

  • 5 of 5

Needed a central location for visiting Zion, Bryce, etc. over spring break. Cabin was much more spacious than it appears online and perfect for a dad and four teenagers. Fully stocked with everything we needed to begin and end our days. Every room was large and very well designed and decorated. Moreover, owners could not have made it any easier with instructions and labeling. Would highly recommend to others. Only downside is that much of Duck Creek village was closed this time of year and elevation keeps it much cooler than surrounding areas. Would imagine in the summer that is a plus but it means you experience a significant drop in temperature when you return from hiking each day. Overall, will definitely recommend to others and would rent again without hesitation.

Owner's Response: Glad you were able to stay with us and we do hope you come back! Duck Creek Pines where the cabin is located is at 8, 507 feet elevation. If guests are interested in checking the weather prior to coming the zip code is 84762 - plug into any of your weather apps. Bryce NP is between 8,000-9,000 feet, Zion NP is 3,000 feet and Cedar Breaks National Monument is about 10,000. That might help in making travel arrangements and how to dress when you travel to these sight seeing locations.

Gorgeous cabin in the woods!

My family loved our time in this cabin. It exceeded our expectations and made for the perfect "off-the-grid" getaway. The cabin had all the amenities to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We look forward to returning in the future.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you came to stay and that you found activities off the grid. Next time we recommend visiting the BristleCone Pine trail to see one of the oldest pine trees.
