Why Barry and Angella Poff chose Williamstown
We love the old farmhouse feel and the quiet atmosphere of the neighborhood.
What makes this Cottage unique
Although we offer a DVD library, games and children's book assortment, and wireless internet, our goal in offering our cottage to you is that your family will come here and actually INTERACT as a family! WE PURPOSELY DO NOT OFFER CABLE OR BROADCAST TELEVISION. If you're looking for mindless entertainment so your family can ignore one another, PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE! Our Old Kentucky Home is set up to be your family retreat for study and devotions, intimate but comfortable togetherness, and creative play both indoors and out. Your little ones will love the "Ark Room" upstairs with stuffed animals, original artwork, and bedding for a crew of 8! Our cottage was described by a recent guest as "Overtly Christian". We accept that as a high compliment. We sincerely hope that you enjoy your stay, but more than that... we pray that your family is refreshed and encouraged through your visit here!

Kentucky Farm House Experience
We came to the area to attend the Inspiration-Encounter concert series at the Ark Encounter, so the location was especially wonderful, just a short drive to the parking lot to attend the events.
There were three of us, just a girls-get-away for the event, so the house was just right for our needs.
There is only one bathroom and one "bedroom", but we used the futon in the living area as one bed, so we each had a "room". My bedroom was the Ark decorated attic space that has lots of room and twin mattresses.
The kitchen was equipped perfectly with dishes, coffeemaker, and essentials.
The neighbors are friendly.
The house is just off of a fairly busy road, so it can be a bit noisy while trying to get off to sleep, but there are beautiful views of the rolling hills of Kentucky and the local cemetery that could calm any soul.
Dishwasher worked great and there is a full sized washer and dryer in spacious utility room if needed - we didn't stay long enough to utilize, but they were there if needed.
Nice, cozy home in a convenient location
We enjoyed our 2-night stay at My Old Kentucky Home. The home was cozy and had the amenities that we needed. We appreciated the decor, and the movies provided for viewing allowed the whole family to spend some down-time together.
Great price and great location to get to The Ark, the Creation Museum, Lexington, and Cincinnati!
It was a wonderful experience staying in an obviously Christ loving home.
Wonderful place to stay!
We are a large family and this house is just perfect for us! The kids LOVE upstairs room. The dining room table is a nice addition since we were there last and it was so good to sit down together and eat a family meal! The new couch is beautiful too. This family home is just perfect for a stay while in that area. Nice location. SUPER close to the Ark Encounter. Can't stay in a hotel for a family our size for less money. Love this place and so grateful for it!
Better than a hotel.
Nice property, family friendly, listing is accurate and not deceptive in any way. Owner was easy to contact and very responsive.
Only negative was the damage insurance. It was clearly stated in the description so nothing deceptive there at all, but such policies are way overpriced and not necessary.
I would highly recommend this property if you are going to the Ark attractions.
