Southern Utah is home to some of the most unique geologic formations in the world. Illustrating this vast terrain of twisting canyons and red rock plateaus are five of America's most magnificent nation parks: Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands and Capitol Reef National Parks. Offering breathtaking overviews, brilliant red rock sunsets and adventure-filled hiking trails, the parks also offer the opportunity for exhilarating relaxation. Utah's parks are located in close proximity to one another so it is easy to visit them all in a single trip. Alternatively, each park makes a great destination in its own right; you can spend several days exploring a Utah national park and still want to see more of its wonders.

Access to miles and miles of hiking and ATV trails, fly fishing plus stream & lake fishing on the Asay & Mammoth Creeks or nearby lakes are all yours to enjoy. Panguitch Lake, Aspen Mirror Lake, Navajo Lake, Cedar Breaks and Brian Head Resort & Duck Creek Village are each less than 45 minutes away.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We visited the chalet from August 11th thru the 14th. It was a perfect place. Beautiful home, very well-equipped. Rudi and Bert were very helpful and friendly. It was the 'just right location' between the 2 parks. We would come back again any time to stay in their house.

Fantastic cozy cabin in a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

It was perfect in every way for our stay and was the perfect base for seeing both Zion and Bryce Canyon. It was nice to have a garage since it snowed several times during our stay and we enjoyed the fireplace. The cabin is very spacious and has beautiful woodwork.

House is wonderful. Everything that you would need is there. Hosts respond very quickly.

  • 5 of 5

The chalet is very true to the pictures posted. We've stayed at other houses, but the fact that you could park in the garage and the area stayed plowed was such an advantage. The floor to ceiling windows are spectacular and worth sitting and enjoying the view. It is nice because you are about 45 minutes from both Bryce Canyon and Zion national. Duck Creek also has its own charm.

Wonderful Place

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in Alton! The home was perfect for our family vacation. The location was ideal for hitting all of the spots we wanted to hit (Zion, Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Coral Pink Sand Dunes). Would definitely recommend to any one looking for a place to stay while they explore Southern Utah.

Great Family Vacation in a great house!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 7 nights in your lovely house, everything was better than described or the pictures! The rooms are vary spacious and the kids loved the bunk beds which of course had to be switched every night to make sure each had a turn on the top bunk. This was the prefect area for us to stay in since we wanted to hit all the major national parks, cool in the evening and only hit around 85 mid day when just an hour south was around 100! All the amenities you could need are at the house including the wine glasses for local selections. Just make sure you do your major shopping at a bigger city when you come in but Rudi and Bert were very helpful with that aspect as well with great directions and suggestions. One quick note if you love micro breweries you need to head to Zion Brewery which is literally just outside Zion national park and offers great brews for the after hike! We can't wait to take another vacation to this area, we stayed a week and still only touched the tip of what is available for you to do. This house will be on our radar when we do with it's central location to just about everything, thank you again for opening up your home to us.

This cabin is wonderful! I give it all 5 stars and recommend to anyone coming to this area!

  • 5 of 5

We find a cabin every year as we explore the parks. This definitely ranks as one of the best! It is easy to feel at home here. They have all that you could need available there plus more! My kids loved the deer that came to visit almost daily and we thoroughly enjoyed the view! We went to Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Cedar Breaks & Capitol Reef! Easy to come and go. Great place!!
