Overview

About the property

This property is a private cabin, not a resort. Great location, great view.

Your cabin is designed to be affordable for just a single couple ($165) , or two couple ($235), or even three couple ($305) , and possibly 8 guests, if two guests don't mind sleeping on a comfortable roll out double bed. The base amount is $165 for two guests, and extra guests are $35 per guest per night. The main floor consists of a large living room/bedroom and bath, and a full kitchen with conversation area (with the roll out bed). The new 14' x 34' deck overlooks a view of Beaver Lake (one of the most pristine lakes in America) that will leave you speechless. Downstairs there are two additional bedrooms and bath. A washer and drier are available, but guests must provide their own detergent, softener, etc. Just outside is a beautiful downstairs deck also with a great view. The hot tub is the perfect relaxer, you will sleep like a baby. There is a one time hot tub fee of $50 that covers our heating and chemical costs. So when you book, be sure to declare if you wish to use the Hot Tub, and it will be up and running for you when you arrive. Nestled in the trees is a new fire ring, and includes a supply of logs for your fire. The wooded four acres the cabin sits on is filled with wildlife. From red fox to white tail deer, opossum and bobcat. Up above you will see woodpeckers, hawks, eagles, and turkey vultures, not to mention a variety of song birds.

There's a boat launch ramp just down the hill, a marina around the corner, and a dam site park minutes away. There's even trout fishing or canoeing on the white river adjacent to the dam. In town, you will find all sorts of entertainment, from a new zip line ride, to a wild animal shelter with lions, tigers, and bears ....... 'Oh My!' You can even take a dinner car ride on the old steam engine train from yesteryear. Our shops and restaurants are over the top with quality and uniqueness. And if you really want a treat, get Jack to take you on his special tour of Eureka Springs, you will love it.

About Jack Cross

Jack first came to Eureka in the early 70's as a hippie and fell in love with this magical town. It's not about money in Eureka Springs, it's about lifestyle, Jack will tell you, and what a lifestyle it is. His love of the outdoors, fishing, hiking, and all sorts of water sports, make Jack a happy camper. He has great stories, and if you are lucky enough to spend time with him, he will be sure an tell you a few. Most of all, Jack loves people as you will see. He will do whatever it takes to make sure you enjoy this place he calls paradise.

Jack Cross purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Jack Cross chose Eureka Springs

I've wanted this cabin ever since Evelyn and I first saw it 40 years ago. So when the opportunity presented its self, we couldn't help ourselves. The cabin needed work, and we gave it what it needed. It was a dream 40 years ago, but a reality today. A magic little cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

We adjusted its design so it not only can accommodate three couples, but can be minimalized to be affordable for just a single couple. The deck is fantastic, as is the spectacular view of Beaver Lake, and I promise if you use the hot tub, you will sleep like a baby.

Don't pass up this view!

  • 5 of 5

I was a little weary of renting this cabin due to the price, but you absolutely get what you pay for with this one. The view of Beaver Lake from the back deck is absolutely beautiful! We spent several hours our first night just staring off into the distance. If you're looking to disconnect from your life back home, this is the place for you.

Our stay at this cabin was fantastic and exactly what we wanted in a vacation home. Jack had some really great suggestions for places to visit in Eureka Springs and a general wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area. He was even kind of enough to invite us out on his pontoon!

To sum it up: the price is fair, the owner is incredibly nice and helpful, and the view will make your stress melt away!

Great cabin, exceptional view, charming host.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay, and couldn't stay off the deck because of that incredible view. Jack turned us onto all the best spots for restaurants, hiking trials, fishing holes, and more; what a guy. We are already booking for next time.

Jack was amazing- he gave us tons of great insider info. The place was adorable and very comfortable. Wish we would have had direct lake access from the house...

Unbelievable property; So comfortable, super clean, killer view, PERFECT

  • 5 of 5

This property is wonderful, the deck furniture is so comfortable you find yourself on the deck all the time and I could have spent the night on the quilted hammock at the lower deck. Clean comfortable and everything we needed in the kitchen was already there. Jack is a super host. He walked us through the cabin rules and gave us suggestions for dining, hiking, boating and places to go and see. Everyone was golden, thank you Jack. I really didn't want to leave, so I'll be back. AMAZING Cabin and Host!!!

  • 5 of 5

We came for a little marriage get away. Could not have been more thrilled! Jack is beyond a gracious host, and has an awesome, inspiring story (be sure to ask him to share it!)!

The cabin was immaculate, well-stocked, and the view and deck will blow you away! You truly may decide to spend less time in town, just to have more time on the deck!

The distance from town was perfect for us. The way Jack has set up the deck- it is completely private.

Be sure to bring extra pods for the Keurig as it is wonderful to be able to brew that quick cup of coffee.

Jack supplied us with hand drawn maps, "secret" swimming hole directions, history of the town, and excellent tips on how to start exploring Eureka Springs as well as restaurant guidance (shout out to Local Flavor!)!

This is without a doubt the most relaxed we have been for a very long time, and we have already re-booked to return in October!

Thank you, Jack!
