About this property

For rent is our beautiful cabin in Island Park. The cabin sits on half an acre with views of the Sawtelle mountains, the northeast shore of Henry's Lake and just 13 short miles from West Yellowstone. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin sleeps 8 and puts you in the middle of everything Island Park and Yellowstone has to offer. The original cabin is a hand-scraped whole log cabin, completely renovated and newly decorated in 2013. Our cabin is a charming, secluded, comfortable place to stay while you adventure through Yellowstone, fish on Henrys Lake or nearby Hebgen Lake, hike, bike, horseback ride and more. ATV/Rafting/Horseback tours and the West Yellowstone rodeo are just 10 minutes away. At the end of the day, grill on the patio or sit around the fire pit outside. We are excited to announce we have been working hard and have completed the new mudroom/entry and beautiful new deck and grilling area which also includes an outside table and chairs.

*We have also added air conditioning to the upstairs area of the cabin!! The main floor stays cool and comfortable from the trees and the insulation of the full logs but we understand that upstairs can get a little warm. We listened, stay cool!!

*Almost all area rental agreements require that you drop off all your trash at a landfill that is about a 1/2 hour drive each way but we provide trash removal service with your booking.

First timers

We had great time in Yellowstone, the weather was perfect for October. The house had everything we needed. It could use some updating and was very dark inside. Views were gorgeous, but there is a main road that runs in front of the property. Good proximity to West Yellowstone.

Incredible stay

We are 2 retired couples who traveled from the Carolinas. The cabin was amazing! Far enough away from the crowds at Yellowstone, but close enough to be at the West entrance in 20 minutes! Decor was incredible, as was the homey feel! The only down side was the traffic noise from the road.

Convenient, cozy & lots of charm. Enjoyed staying & cooking here. Comfortable bed. Very Thoughtfully decorated. Small shower. Lovely deck. Everything we needed was provided.

Loved this place

Great place to stay. Cozy little cabin. Only thing missing was a dishwasher, but didn’t miss it too much. Would love to come back and stay again. Beds are very comfy in the 2 rooms. One bedroom with a king bed and the other with 2 queens and bunk beds. Since there were only of us, 2 slept upstairs and 2 down. Nice to have a bathroom on the main floor and upstairs. Nancy was a great host and very kind.

We live in Utah and my husband and I are the parents of four great kids and the cutest grand babies you have ever seen. My husband is a contractor and I am a stay at home mom/decorator/rehab addict (I have a passion for remodeling homes).

Why they chose this property

We have vacationed here for years and fell in love with Henry's Lake. Over the years, we have developed a love for flyfishing and this has become our children's favorite place. When looking for a cabin in the area, of course I wanted the one with the most potential that needed a lot of love. We completely overhauled the cabin in November of 2013 (yes it was about 30 below zero) and continue to improve it yearly. We love this little cabin and have many wonderful memories here.

Only 13 miles from West Yellowstone. We have many favorite places to go and things to do and would be happy to share those with you to make the most of your vacation.
