Ideal for Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

This was the second time we rented this property for our Family reunion.

The weather was a bit iffy so we ate inside, We rented some extra tables and chairs and had room for 40 people to eat and visit. Again the children loved playing upstairs and outside. The large kitchen was perfect for setting up the buffet.

Martha was available for any concerns/questions that we had and addressed them quickly.

We are hoping that this property will be available next year for our reunion.

On Sunday we enjoyed sitting on the front porch reading and listening to the birds while the young people went to Grand Haven to the beach.

Enjoyable Stay

  • 4 of 5

Vacationed with another family (ages 7 - 57). The home is very spacious, plenty of living space for all. 4 Bedrooms total, master is enormous, 4th bedroom very small but adequate (has 2 twin beds and room for a single blow up mattress or sleeping bag. Additional sleeping is provided by a very nice queen blowup mattress and 2 fold out twin beds. There is an assortment of blankets and pillows provided in closets scattered throughout the home. Home had a smoky/musty smell. Didn't bother me much, but bothered others in our group. Not all windows have screens, which would have been nice. Especially upstairs. Wifi could have been better. I got better service outside than in the main living area. Dish TV allows you to watch a few television channels. Overall the home was clean with the exception of the kitchen floor which felt sandy and some of the area rugs which need to be replaced. Also outdoor patio furniture could use a good washing, which though understandable due to the wooded area, was unexpected. Very nice up-to-date appliances. Kitchen had an assortment of dishes, pans, utensils. Except for the basics (silverware, dishes, glasses) very miscellaneous. Could use a colander and grilling tools. (Very nice outdoor grill!)

Home's location is great (5 minutes to Grand Haven, 30 minutes to Saugatuck, 20 minutes to Holland, Silver Lake and Muskegon - all recommended!). Martha was very easy to work with and lives close on the property with her family. Overall, the property was not exactly what we were expecting, but our visit was very nice.

Beautiful home secluded location

  • 5 of 5

We had another reservation that fell through the day we were to arrive. This property was made available to us on really no notice by a very gracious host who helped us salvage a week long family reunion that could have been a total bust. It is a beautiful home that is has a very open floor plan and was perfect for our family gathering. The kitchen opens into the main living area so when preparing meals there was not isolation from the rest of the group and conversation. Furnishings and fixtures are high quality and modern with an artistic flare. The owners did all they could to meet our needs. I am quite sure this property worked out much better than the one we planned on. Many happy memories.

The home and property were beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

It was a beautiful place to stay for our daughters wedding. The additional large living/dining area was perfect for the bride and bridesmaids to get their hair and makeup done. The grounds were pretty for some of the wedding pictures. Having the owners close by on the property was a plus, especially if you needed anything. Martha was very kind and sweet. I highly recommend renting from her.

What a great place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful setting it is in. My family and I had a nice experience here. The home is fully equipped, plenty of space, porches for outside seating on every front. I would highly recommend this property and its caring and attentive owner, Martha

Very spacious and beautiful home!!

  • 5 of 5

This property was the perfect setting for my wedding weekend! The house is so spacious and the outdoor areas are amazing! It was the perfect setting for me and all the bridesmaids to get ready and we even did some of our wedding party pictures there. The landscape is BEAUTIFUL! Seriously, can not say enough great things about the house, it was PERFECT and the pictures don't even do it justice!
