Map
Door County is home to five state parks, numerous county parks, public beaches and boat launches. There are also large tracts managed by the Nature Conservancy and the Door County Land Trust, most with great public access.
It has a vibrant arts community with numerous private galleries encompassing many mediums from sculpture to pottery.
Door County is also blessed with great local theater. America's oldest summer theater, Penninsula Players as well as Tap in Sturgeon Bay and the American Folklore Theater in Fish Creek. There is also plenty of free music in local parks and other small venues.
Shopping is a delight, nightlife and dining are great and there is water everywhere.
It's no wonder families return to us every year. It's a tradition!
