The downstairs family room has a 46" Samsung Smart TV, 2 built-in ceiling speakers, hand crafted walnut XL Twin /couch/futon, (sleeps 2 comfortably), side reclining chaise, (sleeps 1?2), built-in wall refrigerator. Access to washer/dryer is located next to the "Throne". Open the front door and relax on our peaceful recently added new front deck, (6-2016), that looks west to the University. Watch the sunset!! It's awesome. Take it all in, the sights, the sounds, the Hesburgh library, the excitement, and of course, the energy of Notre Dame. An experience you will never forget!!!

About Sharon and Ronald Blasko
I am a Marine, that somehow, ended up at Notre Dame. For 17 years, I ran and taught in the Engineering Machine Shop. During that time, I started my own small shop. Just, recently we closed the shop after 35 years, it was quite a life changing moment. I have invested in this neighborhood, both, physically and emotionally, building the shop, the 'grey house' in front, and believe it or not, Joey, yeah that the one, Montana, lived with me for awhile, no lie). Loved his dog too! I purchased other properties along the way, our 'little house', built in 1906, a few lots away, down the street to the west, 1/2 block closer to ND, 3 lots, directly across the street from both the 'Big House' and the 'Grey House'. One of those lots, had little white house, with a back porch, just right for my mother. When she passed away in my arms in 2007, I sold that property to Notre Dame. We currently rent out the 'little house' to professors, graduate students, visiting foreign faculty, from all over the world. We love it. My wife especially loves the cultural interaction, the female company and children.

We are renting this property, because we realize we have way to much 'stuff'. There are only two of us and 'the big' house is huge. So it just makes sense, we are so close to campus, etc. so why not rent?! No more hassles for large groups with hotels, eating out, parking, not knowing where you are, and any other discomfort that comes with the hectic ND football/ND event weekends.

The flyovers shake the ground. The plays are called. You can hear the buildup, the roar, or the silence, depending on the outcome, before it can even reach the airways. Come join us in this unbelievable experience. Come be a part of our 'pot of gold' at end of the rainbow! We, recently, 2/2015, started our own Neighborhood Watch program. Partnering with our neighbors, the University of Notre Dame, Highline US (Overlook (graduate housing), Irish Row, and Irish Flats), and St. Joseph County, to preserve and add to the allure of our uniquely "hidden" treasure that is Morningside/Pedestrian Addition.

Location was great and the owners were very nice.
Great fo large group and awesome location.
Stayed 3 days for UGA/ND game. House is good for accommodating large group. Great location. Can hear band from front porch on Friday afternoons during pep rally. House has a lot of character and was very clean upon arrival. I doubt we will play ND again in South Bend in my lifetime, but if we did, I would rent this house again.
Excellent location - warm, helpful and fun "landlords", highly recommended
This was our second stay with Sharon and Ron. They are helpful and considerate. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen has what you need. 5-10 minute walking distance to campus. This is their home so it feels lived in and their personal items are around. It is very comfortable and gets exciting on game day with the tailgating in the neighborhood. There is an awesome Martins grocery just shy of walking distance up the road. We used the grill, the pool and the hottub. We had a great time - it's awesome to be so close to campus and take advantage of all that is offered on game weekends. It would be hard to stay anywhere else !
Notre Dame Football Weekend
Sharon was great to work with, and did a fantastic job. The house is great, a few blocks from the campus, and you can see the library from their house. Perfect for families, with great bedrooms, baths, kitchen, and living. Great Large Screen TV. We will use this for our next trip back for a game. Easy walk to campus and stadium.

Superb location. Easy walk to stadium, bars, etc. We had 8 men stay in the "big house". There are neither 8 bedrooms nor 8 beds. But a couch and air mattress set up in the basement family room allowed us all to have our own "bed". Sharon and Ron own about 1/4 of the block - next to the big house is a smaller house that they also rent (Joe Montana once lived there), there is a small two story loft apartment that is very cute and could comfortably accommodate 3, and there is the large tool shed on the east side of the property that Sharon and Ron have converted into living quarters and is where they stay when guests are renting their other three units. The big house is where owners live when they are not renting it so it definitely gives off a vibe like you might have if you were visiting your aunt's home. Sharon and Ron are very welcoming and after the initial intro when we arrived, we didn't see them the rest of the weekend (but if we needed anything they made sure we knew how to reach them). The portion of their lot that has no structures on it is used for game day parking so they might ask you to re-park your vehicles to a different location on their lot on the morning of game day. If you are looking for modern, fancy or upscale accommodations, this is not the place. If you are looking for a great location, a clean 1960's era family home and everything you reasonably need to have a great time, this is it. Go Irish!
Great place to stay on game weekend
Was a great place to stay for an ND game weekend. The location is very good as the stadium/campus is close and it is walking distance to a nice sport bar. In addition, the grocery store is close by to load up on supplies. The owners were very friendly and could not be more accommodating.
This secluded almost forgotten neighborhood, is a rare find. Walking distance to Notre Dame Campus, the Grotto, Sacred Heart Basilica, DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, Compton Family Ice Area, Eddy Street Commons (Restaurants, Hammes Bookstore, AT&T, etc.), The Linebacker Lounge, Mulligans, Warren Golf Course, Little Flower Catholic Church, Martin's Supermarket w/Starbucks/Fresh sushi/and a great flower shop. You will love this area. We are a unique, diversified, cultural group of individual home owners. Some of us, have been here for over 50 years, wow, where does time go and what amazing transformations, we have seen. Come enjoy our hospitality.

Please Note: Flexible payment plans/options are available. Please try not to use Credit card payments, if possible. This will save both of us $$. Bank to bank e-check transfer, personal checks, etc. are what I find to be the best solution. Pmts made by CC's incur charges on our end and are not incl'd in quoted rental price. Guests receive 2 car parking passes per property. If you need additional parking passes, ($20.00/car), please let us know. Ron and I, personally, park cars (70+, sometimes), on game day Saturdays, with an occasional (our repeat/regular extended family) RV or our Firemen, with their pumper truck (in their designated areas) for select games. We are pretty proud of our "parking" system. You may hear us yelling..."easy in, easy out". We've worked on this for a few years/games, lol, and have multiple entry/exit drives, so, no need to worry with regard to being parked/blocked in. We will show you where to park. Check out our other properties, 594457, the "Grey House", next dr (E) of the "Big House", and #750427, our "Little House", located less than 1/2 block to the west. I like to call the block, "Blasko BLVD"!!! It's a small street, with 6 houses, of which we own 4+.
